How to recover a deleted game on Android. How to recover deleted applications on Android - a few tips. How to restore data and settings

Starting with Android 5.0, Google is systematically working on implementing a recovery feature for Android devices. If previously it was possible to restore data and applications only using special utilities available only to users with root access, now the system itself restores almost all data. The only important condition is the use of Google services by default: contacts, calendar, Google Drive cloud storage and others.

In order not to lose your data, you need to enable backup in the Android settings. To do this:

1) Go to Settings > Data Backup.

2) Make sure that the Data Backup feature is enabled.

3) Select the Google account to which the data backup will be linked.

4) Make sure that the application auto-recovery feature is enabled.

If the settings are enabled, applications and settings will be automatically saved to the Google Drive cloud storage. In this case, each application is allocated storage of 25 MB in size. This is not much, but it is enough to save most settings. The applications themselves, of course, are not saved in Google Drive; the system will pull them up automatically from the Google Play application directory.

Note: The ability to save app settings to Google Drive is up to the app developer. If a specific developer has not implemented this function, then when restoring the application, its data will not be restored.

Backups don't take up most of your Google Drive space. You can see which apps the system saves by opening the Google Drive app > side menu > Settings > Manage Backups.

When resetting or activating a new device, after entering your Google account, Android will offer to restore the device from a backup copy.

It is important to remember a few more nuances related to data recovery on Android:

Use the Google Start launcher

Google's proprietary launcher can be installed by anyone from the Google Play application catalog. Its advantage is that it will not only give the operating system the “clean” look Google intended, but it will also completely preserve your desktop settings. When data is restored, all folders, widgets and icon locations will be in place. When using a standard launcher from manufacturers, this will not happen. Third-party launchers most often also know how to make a backup copy, but there it must be done manually.

Don't forget to use cloud synchronization

Don't give up the main convenience of Android - data synchronization via the cloud. When saving a new contact in your address book, you should not save it locally on your device; it is better to immediately use your Google account. This way, it will never be lost unless you manually delete it from the cloud, but even then, it can be recovered. The same goes for calendar, mail, notes and other types of data.

Tools from device manufacturers

If you are an adherent of a specific brand of devices, for example, Samsung, Meizu or LG, then it is useful to remember about the tools built-in by manufacturers that help create data backups. Most often, they provide the ability to create a full backup of the device, which can be stored for as long as desired. The advantage of this approach is that absolutely all data is saved in one file (as on iOS), but the main disadvantage is that such backups will not work between devices from different manufacturers. A backup from an LG smartphone will not work for a Samsung smartphone and vice versa. This can be implemented using third-party software, but this requires Root access.

It often happens that you regret deleting data and files from your Android smartphone or tablet, or have you lost them? Then today's instructions are especially for you!

There is no need to be upset, since they can be restored, but to do this you will have to install and work with some additional Android applications, and in some cases connect a PC.

An excellent program for recovering lost data on Android is 7-Data Android Recovery. You will find detailed operating instructions in the article:.

To prevent data loss next time, check out the following articles:

Now let's get back to data recovery. Thanks to the Undelete for Root Users program, Android device users will be able to recover data on their smartphones and tablets. A guarantee of successful file recovery is the prevention of further data being written to the media after its previous deletion.

After installation Undelete for Root Users for Android will scan the memory card and display a list of all deleted files. After clicking the “Restore” button, the necessary data will be restored. From the name it is clear that the application only works on rooted smartphones and tablets. Read about receiving them in the posts: and.

If you are a prudent user, then take care in advance about the safety of your personal data. Therefore, especially for you, there is an excellent shopping cart application on Android - Dumpster: Recycle Bin (link to the article at the beginning of the post), which performs functions identical to the Recycle Bin on a PC. That is, after deletion, the file is not completely erased, but ends up in the trash, from where it can be easily restored.

If the data was on a memory card, then you can return deleted files using wonderful PC utilities, of which there are a lot. Among the best I can highlight Restoration or UnDelete Plus. After installing one of the programs, you need to insert the SD card into the card reader slot and press the button to start scanning. After this, the found files can be restored and used again.

This instruction will show you how to recover data on Android in cases where you accidentally formatted a memory card, deleted photos or other files from the internal memory, did a Hard Reset (resetting the phone to factory settings) or something else happened, because Why do you have to look for ways to get back lost files?

DiskDigger is a free application in Russian that allows you to find and recover deleted photos on Android without root access (but the result may be better with it). Suitable for simple cases and when you need to find photos (there is also a paid version of the program that allows you to recover other types of files).

GT Recovery for Android

The next, this time free program that can be effective for modern Android devices is the GT Recovery application, which is installed on the phone itself and scans the internal memory of the phone or tablet.

I have not tested the application (due to difficulties in obtaining Root rights on the device), but reviews on the Play Market indicate that, when possible, GT Recovery for Android copes quite successfully with the recovery of photos, videos and other data, allowing you to return at least some of them.

An important condition for using the application (so that it can scan the internal memory for recovery) is the presence of Root access, which you can get by finding the appropriate instructions for your Android device model or using a simple free program, see.

You can download GT Recovery for Android from the official page on Google Play.

EASEUS Mobisaver for Android Free

EASEUS Mobisaver for Android Free is a free program for data recovery on Android phones and tablets, very similar to the first of the utilities discussed, but it allows you not only to look at what is available for recovery, but also to save these files.

However, unlike Dr.Fone, Mobisaver for Android requires that you first obtain Root access on your device yourself (I indicated above how to do this). And only after this the program will be able to search for deleted files on your Android.

Details about using the program and downloading it: .

If you are unable to recover data from Android

As noted above, the likelihood of successfully recovering data and files on an Android device from internal memory is lower than the same procedure for memory cards, flash drives and other drives (which are defined specifically as drives in Windows and other operating systems).

Therefore, it is quite possible that none of the proposed methods will help you. In this case, I recommend, if you have not already done so, to try the following:

  • Go to the address photos.google.com using your account credentials on your Android device to log in. It may turn out that the photos you want to recover are synced with the account and you will find them safe and sound.
  • If you need to restore your contacts, go to contacts.google.com- there is a chance that there you will find all your contacts from your phone (albeit mixed with those with whom you corresponded by e-mail).

I hope some of this is useful to you. Well, for the future, try to synchronize important data with Google storage or other cloud services, for example, OneDrive.

Note: Below we describe another program (formerly free), which, however, recovers files from Android only when they are connected as USB Mass Storage, which is no longer relevant for most modern devices.

Data recovery software 7-Data Android Recovery

When I last wrote about another program from the developer 7-Data, which allows you to recover files from a flash drive or hard drive, I noticed that on their website they have a version of the program designed to recover data from Android internal memory or inserted into phone (tablet) micro SD memory card. I immediately thought that this would be a good topic for one of the following articles.

You can download Android Recovery from the official website http://7datarecovery.com/android-data-recovery/. At the same time, at the moment the program is completely free. Update: in the comments they said that it is no longer.

You can download Android Recovery on the official website

The installation does not take much time - just click “Next” and agree with everything, the program does not install anything extraneous, so in this regard you can be calm. Russian language is supported.

Connecting an Android phone or tablet for the recovery procedure

After starting the program, you will see its main window, which schematically displays the necessary actions to get started:

  1. Enable USB debugging on the device
  2. Connect Android to computer using USB cable

To enable USB debugging on Android 4.2 and 4.3, go to “Options” - “About phone” (or “About tablet”), then click on the “Build number” field several times until you see the message “You have become developer." After that, return to the main settings page, go to the “For Developers” option and enable USB debugging.

In order to enable USB debugging on Android 4.0 - 4.1, go to the settings of your Android device, where at the end of the list of settings you will find the “Developer Options” item. Go to this item and check “USB Debugging”.

For Android 2.3 and earlier, go to Settings - Applications - Development and enable the desired option there.

After that, connect your Android device to the computer running Android Recovery. For some devices, you will need to click the "Enable USB Storage" button on the screen.

Data recovery with 7-Data Android Recovery

After connecting, in the main window of the Android Recovery program, click the “Next” button and you will see a list of drives in your Android device - this can be only internal memory or internal memory and a memory card. Select the required storage and click Next.

Selecting Android internal memory or memory card

By default, a full scan of the drive will begin - it will look for deleted, formatted and otherwise lost data. We can only wait.

At the end of the file search process, the folder structure with what was found will be displayed. You can see what's in them, and in the case of photos, music and documents, use the preview function.

After you have selected the files you want to recover, click the “Save” button and save them to your computer. Important note: do not save files to the same media from which the data was restored.

It’s strange, but nothing was restored for me: the program wrote Beta Version Expired (I installed it today), although the official website says that there are no restrictions. There is a suspicion that this is due to the fact that today is the morning of October 1, and the version is apparently updated once a month and they have not yet managed to update it on the site. So I think by the time you read this, everything will be working in the best possible way. As I said above, data recovery in this program is completely free.

In 2015 More than 1.5 million applications and games could be downloaded on Google Play. Android users often install applications indiscriminately and then delete them after a while as unnecessary. But what if you want to return something but can't remember the name?

Especially for such unlucky users, Google keeps a list of all applications and games ever installed, even after uninstallation. Applications installed on old devices will also be there, provided that you use the same Google account.

The full list can be viewed in your Google Play account. Open the Google Play app on your Android phone or tablet and click on the menu button (3 horizontal lines in the top left corner). Next, tap "My Apps & Games." Then click the "All" button and you will see all the titles.

Clicking on a deleted application will take you to its page on Google Play, from where you can reinstall it. If you do not want to clutter the list with deleted applications or games, then click on the X in the upper right corner.

P.S.: The tutorial was made on the basis of a smartphone with a template OS Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. On devices with a different operating system, everything may look different.

How to find deleted Android applications and reinstall them

1. Open Google Play on your Android device.

2. Click on the menu button.

3. Go to My Apps & Games.

4. Touch the All tab.

5. That's all: you will immediately see the deleted applications, since there will be no green Installed inscription next to its name. Clicking on a deleted application will allow you to quickly restore it, and clicking the X button on the right will permanently remove it from the list after confirming the action.

Often the best way to restore Android is to reset it to factory settings. This way you can solve most problems with the device freezing and various glitches. If the gadget turns on and is able to boot on its own, then the easiest way to clean the system to its original state and delete all user data is through the settings menu.

Performing a Hard Reset from a running system

This feature is already included initially in the interface of any Android device, so no third-party utilities are required to completely reset the device if it turns on:

  1. Go to the device settings, sometimes the folder is called “Settings”;
  2. Here go to the data archiving and settings reset section;
  3. Make sure that the data archiving and auto-recovery items are checked, then you can easily restore the current settings of the gadget after it resets;
  4. In “Personal Data”, click on the data reset line.

After this, all that remains is to read the system warning that all installed applications and the user account will be deleted from the device’s memory. Confirm your intention, after which the gadget will reboot and you will have a completely “clean” smartphone or Android tablet in your hands. It will be cleared of all personal information and malicious applications.

You can also restore your Android device to its factory settings using a computer, using the gadget manufacturer’s proprietary program. You just need to connect it to your PC, find the “Restore” item and start the process, following the instructions of the program.

Entering the Recovery menu

Just like in any system, you can perform a data reset procedure, the capabilities of the Recovery console are built into any Android device, even if it does not turn on. The only difference for gadgets from different manufacturers is the procedure for entering this mode. Let's present an approximate algorithm of actions for entering Recovery Mode, and also describe how it can restore the system.

For Samsung devices:

  • simultaneously hold down the Volume Down and Power buttons;
  • After the logo appears, release the Power button while still holding Volume Down until a list of Recovery Mode commands appears on the display.

If the algorithm described above does not work, then simply hold down three buttons at once - Power, Volume Up and Home until you enter reset mode.

Please note that the device must be disconnected from USB and charging, so better recharge your device before performing a hard reset procedure.

  • hold down the Power buttons and the volume rocker in the middle for a few seconds;
  • then once - on Volume Down or Volume Up.

If the method does not work, press Power until the device vibrates, then press Volume Up several times at once.

For Nexus, ASUS, etc. devices, the method of pressing the Power and Volume Down keys simultaneously is usually suitable.

Recovery mode features

It provides the user with several options at once, even if the tablet does not turn on. The most accessible thing for any user is a complete reset and deletion of all user files. In this way, you can solve problems with unstable operation of the gadget, for example, as a result of a virus:

  1. Using the volume rocker, highlight the wipe data/factory reset menu item;
  2. Activate this feature by pressing Power;
  3. Once the reset is complete, which usually takes no more than a few seconds, activate the Reboot System Now command in the same way.

The device will reboot, and it will fully restore functionality. True, user applications, files and settings will be deleted. Therefore, if the device turns on, make a backup of it.

Making a backup from the recovery console

In order to be able to restore its functionality after resetting the device, it would be useful to make a full backup of the device. It is enabled in the Recovery console:

  1. Using the volume rockers and the Power button, select and activate the Backup and Restore line.
  2. In the menu that opens, open the Backup item in the same way.

The process of creating an archive takes about 10 minutes. To restore the system from the created archive, in the Backup and Restore section, select Restore. But keep in mind that a full system backup can be made using this method only if you have Root rights.

Android recovery without Root access

Few ordinary users want to solve problems with obtaining Root access to their device. Therefore, let's consider the Safe Backup application, with which you can back up various data if the smartphone/tablet is turned on - contacts, alarms, calendars, bookmarks, photos, videos, application installation archives, etc.

A backup is performed on Android as follows:
