Media server does not work on the TV. Your home multimedia server for the TV. Automatic Starting Home Media Server

The media server DLNA opens up wide possibilities for broadcasting video and other media files from one device to another on WiFi. As this technology cross-platform, it can be used to send a picture from a laptop or PC on Windows to a TV or a console running Android. The previous article on caused such interest from readers that I decided to develop this topic and more detail about the possibilities of home media UPNP server on Windows, as well as how to organize work with Home Media Server and SmartShare programs.

What is DLNA and UPNP?

The integrated digital network consortium (DLNA) is a group of companies that have merged with the goal of creating a common, open standard for connecting devices. All devices that have support for DLNA can automatically be on the same network, configure reception from each other and view content.

What types of devices have support for DLNA?

DLNA-compatible devices - these are televisions, mobile phones, PCs and laptops, music players, game consoles, such as Sony Playstation 3, Home Media Players, Personal Computers, Android Phones, Blu-Ray Players, Tablets, Wireless Printers, Camcorders, Televisions Flat-screen, routers and HiFi systems. First of all, make sure your device has such support. All devices with the DLNA certificate have an appropriate logo or sticker, which means that the product has been tested for compliance with the DLNA requirements and is able to connect to other certified devices. Next, the device must have a description of the type of supported digital content (for example, audio, video, photographs), as well as the type of destination (for example, server, printer, player, and so on.). A more detailed description of the adopted designations at the end of the article.

At the moment, the list of members of the organization The Digital Living Network Alliance combines most of the major market players, such as Intel, HP, Motorola, HTC, Microsoft, Samsung, LG and Panasonic. These companies create products that successfully interact with each other. Only Apple remained aside, which developed its standard - Airplay. So if you have a device from an apple family, turn it on to your media, consisting of devices from other manufacturers, will not work.

How to use the media server DLNA on Windows?

DLNA devices are intended for mutual connection. Each device is assigned its class depending on its purpose. For example, any cumulative device belongs to the Digital Media Server class. These are mobile phones stored in their memory photos, music and video. Any device capable of receiving and playing digital content from another DLNA device will be a digital media player (Digital Media Player). This is your TV, which is able to play video, music and photos from other devices.

In order to create a homemade media server and start using it, you will need at least one DLNA server for storing content (for example, a laptop or mobile phone) and one DLNA device for playback, for example, such as TV.

DLNA devices are connected and switch to each other by means of a customized home network. The diagram of this network is probably similar to the device of your home Internet. In fact, the router is the central point of communication in the network and is used to connect devices to each other.

Here is a brief list of what you need:

  • tV with support for DLNA
  • at least one DLNA digital media server, such as a file server, laptop or phone
  • router
  • one of the three for connecting the receiver with a transmitter: PowerLine adapters (for distribution of the Internet through a power grid), Ethernet cables or wireless adapter to connect to your network.

Configuring a DLNA home media server on a Windows computer or laptop?

We came close to the topic of setting up home media server by DLNA. First of all, you need to connect a laptop and a TV with support for this technology (for example, Samsung with smart TV) to the router. There are several ways to execute this. This is stated in detail in, but briefly they are listed below. Which one to choose to solve you depending on how removed the router from your TV and other connected DLNA devices.

Ethernet cable

If the router is located close to the TV, the Ethernet cable is the easiest way to connect them.
Just connect one end of the cable to the TV Ethernet port, and the other to the port of the router.

Wireless bridge

If you have a wireless router, or the TV is deleted enough, it is worth thinking about installing a wireless bridge to connect the TV to the router. The wireless bridge is connected to the TV through the Ethernet port, and to the wireless router. Or, if your TV supports work with WiFi through a built-in or external adapter, then connect it to the router directly.

Some wireless routers, such as Buffalo Technology, have a DLNA certificate and are specifically designed for the DLNA home network.

By electrical network, without using cables

The network using a power grid is a great way to customize the network in the whole house. Installation using the electrical home network is simple and safe. Because the existing wiring is used, connected cables within the DLNA network will not be required. Connection adapters for a power outlet produce almost all network equipment manufacturers. They are called PowerLine devices. Next, you simply, as usual, connect the plug of the router, TV and other devices into the power outlet, but now all your devices will form a DLNA network

Before you can transmit files from a computer, you must install the corresponding software on it. Among the options - Windows Media Player 11 or 12 (enabled in the new version of Windows 7) or Vaio Media Server (for TV from Sony), AllShare for Samsung, LG Smart Share, Home Media Server, etc. After installing the software, you can select files for transmission On TV - Photo, Video, Music Files and TD. How the transmission takes place depends on the software used, but, as a rule, it comes down to specify the playlist, library or files, or add them to the appropriate folders.

Let's now look at the most popular programs that allow you to broadcast files from your computer to other devices.

Windows Media Player.

To configure Windows Media Player to transfer files from a laptop to a TV, follow these steps:

Run Windows Media Player, open the menu (right-click on the toolbar on which you are deactivated arrows), SERVICE\u003e Parameters

Samsung Allshare Software.

You can download here. More advanced compared to the previous program, but again only for Samsung. It is based on the * DLNA standard, and with it, you can share multimedia content not only on a telephone, but also on many other devices that support standard * DLNA: computers, tablets, video cameras, digital cameras, mobile phones, etc.

The order of work is as follows:

We install the program, run, go to Tools\u003e Settings\u003e Sharing (Tools - Settings - Folder Settings) and select that folder, files from which will be open for shared access.

After that, go to the "Setup Rights" tab and open the access to our TV. In the main program window will appear all shared folders and files

Now for more clearly, look at the video demonstrating work with these programs from Samsung.

Home Media Server - Home Media Server

This is another cool free program for organizing from your computer full-featured media server from which files can be broadcast on other devices that are included in the local network - not only TV, but also the tablet with Android OS, for example. Plus it is that it is suitable for any televisions with support for network connections, such as the same inexpensive LG. Download the latest version can be.

Let's consider in more detail how to use home media server Home Media Server. After installing it, you will ask you several times asking the basic parameters - here we press the "Cancel" everywhere, but do not do anything, since everything will set everything.

We get into the main program window.

In addition to viewing files, this program also allows you to broadcast streaming from the Internet to the TV. But let's talk about it separately.

I hope now all the blog readers have become clearer what is a media server DLNA (not to be confused with) and how to connect various devices to it. Well, after a thorough study of all this information and competent implementation, you can build something like this:

By the way, the phone can also work as a server - but about this in a separate article about DLNA on Android. About the same, you will learn by reference.

For a snack, there are still many all kinds of delicacies - the most popular questions with answers, a dictionary of terms and visual videos on DLNA. And do not forget to subscribe to the blog news through the form under the article so as not to skip the output of the next article from the series about DLNA. It will be devoted to the universal cross-platform media server Xbox Media Center (XBMC).

Frequently asked Questions

Are all TVs have a DLNA certificate?

No, not all TVs support DLNA. To make sure that yours supports the DLNA network, find the corresponding logo on it.

What should I do if my router is located from a TV at a big distance?

There are two options for action if your router is far from the TV and other devices

DLNA Connection using a wireless bridge or electrocabeel. So you can connect the TV and device to the router
- DLNA wireless way. This article describes detailed installation actions.

Is it possible to connect other devices to the DLNA server via WiFi?

Some DLNA devices have built-in WiFi feature. The way to connect via WiFi will depend on the device itself. You may need to activate the WiFi or Network Sharing feature (sharing files within the network) in order to connect to the router (and to the DLNA network).

My TV does not connect to the media server. What should I do?

Check the cable and connections between the TV and the router, as well as between DLNA devices and router.

Check your network setting on the TV. In detail about connecting TV to the network, it is described in a separate article, the reference to which I gave above.

What devices have support for DLNA?

There are a number of devices with DLNA support. Look at the integrated digital network consortium site (DLNA)

My TV does not see some devices. What should I do?

If the TV does not find content on another device, the following reasons are possible:

Your TV or other DLNA device is not connected to the network.

The problem is related to the router or with the operation of the network.

Another device does not have DLNA support or is not a digital media server (Digital Media Server), in other words, does not have the memory for storing files.

On your PC or laptop, the corresponding DLNA server is installed.

Depending on the network settings, on your laptop, you may need to turn off the function of the firewall. You must be aware of the risks associated with this action. They are entirely your personal responsibility. If you do not know how to do, consult professional help.

What method of setting the network is better - cable or wireless?

It all depends on the remoteness of the network components and on how despite the presence of visible cables in the house. The cable network, however, can work a little better than wireless. A few more advice:

Try to avoid complex network installation schemes with numerous subnets and concentrators, as this may affect the performance of your DLNA network.

If you want to be able to stream video files in HD format, we recommend using the network at least 200 Mbps for more sustainable work.

When choosing an Ethernet cable, give preference to CAT5E type, not CAT 5, as this will allow your network to develop a higher speed.

Can I rotate the image when the TV is connected to a PC?

No, it is impossible to rotate images on the screen. You should rotate the image on a laptop or other device before it appears on the TV screen.

Photos are displayed on the TV screen in a distorted form. Why?

With an increase in the photo, the image quality can become worse. In order for the quality to be optimal, displays photos in their own resolution, even if they won't take the entire screen.

My photos do not fill the entire TV screen

Images may not occupy the entire screen. It depends on their permission and format. In order for the quality of the images is optimal, do not change their own permission.

What types of file types are supported by DLNA devices?

It depends on the device itself. Check out the DLNA certificate of a specific device
Or look at the DLNA website. Depending on the network device, some files may be converted before
transmission.

Below is a list of files that are usually supported by DLNA devices:

Images: JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF

Does the installation required for your PC or laptop to transfer files? Where can I find it by?

Yes, in order for your PC or laptop to transmit files within the DLNA network, installation of software is required. In some cases, such as Windows Media Player, the required software is already installed.

Is it possible to access iTunes or sharing and playing DRM files within the network?

No, although it may also depend on codecs supported by various devices.

Why are files and folders with my photos not displayed?

Some folders or files may not be displayed on the TV screen if certain characters are used in their name. Try to change the name and repeat them to be transmitted to the TV. Please note that on many models in file names and folders with photos, the use of only the Latin alphabet is supported.

My server DLNA server is listed in the list on the TV screen, but the files are not available. Why?

Perhaps the link between the DLNA device and the router is lost. Check the cables and connections. To test the connection between the DLNA device and the TV, you can also carry out an automatic diagnostic check, which is performed on each model in its own way.

Sometimes the video quality during streaming wireless transmission is rather low. Why?

The quality of the wireless network connection may vary depending on the distance between the bridge and the router, from any interference in the room and the quality of the wireless router itself. In order to improve image quality, use a wireless router with support for streaming video with a frequency of 5 GHz and place the router as close as possible to the wireless bridge.

Legend in DLNA technology

When using DLNA connections, you can construct a link between any devices working with this standard, while each of them can act in different roles. For their accurate designations, a number of terms are used as described below.

The first group of device connections that are used mainly at home is called HND (Home Network Devices)

DMS (Digital Media Server) - media server. These are devices that are the source, that is, which contain the files that we want to look at another device. This can be a computer with a special software installed above, a NAS device that has support for DLNA.
DMP (Digital Media Player) is a media player, or DLNA client. These are those devices that receive content from the media server and can either reproduce it or transfer to another device, acting as a mediaander. These are televisions, game consoles, independent monitors, home cinemas, etc.
DMR (Digital Media Renderer) is a mediaander. A device that can reproduce the content obtained through the media controller, which to its query transmits it from the media server. This is usually able to do the same as listed above in media players.
DMC (Digital Media Controller) - media controller. Allows you to find files on the mediaserver and transmit it to play on the mediariter. These are tablets, smartphs, digital cameras with WiFi compounds support
DMPR (Digital Media Printer - devices that provide a print service for the rest are printers. Transmit the printed information on them are capable of media players (DMP) and media controllers (DMC). Tablets
M-DMU (Mobile Digital Media Uploader) - portable gadgets that can upload files to servers. For example, digital cameras, cameras or phone numbers.
M-DMD (Mobile Digital Media Downloader) - Portable devices that can find and download a media system from DMS and M-DMS servers (mobile phones and media players)
M-DMS (Mobile Digital Media Controller) - portable media controllers that have a property of finding content on media server and broadcast it to DMR media players - phones and PDAs.

Thank you! Did not help

The owners of modern digital gadgets - smartphones, tablets, as well as high-tech SMART TV support televisions, can create a real media server at home, with which you can access various types of multimedia content from different devices. How to use the appropriate opportunity in practice?

The principle of the home media server

What is a home media server? This is a system, within the framework of which various devices combined into the network - computers, televisions (if they have supported the appropriate functions), mobile gadgets and other modern devices can interact and share multimedia content. Another remarkable technology that can be used through a homemade media server - IPTV. That is, holding out the relevant user will be able to organize something like a mini-television studio at home.

Organization of shared media content in HMS

Among the main advantages of the HMS program, as we noted above are universality. With its help, in fact, any devices can be combined into the infrastructure, the central part of which is a homemade media server. For philips, samsung, lg and other brands - does not matter what type of software is on the main network module.

To solve the task associated with the organization of joint access to media files - video, photos, music - run the program, after choosing from the list of devices displayed in the main window, then with which it is assumed to start the files on the mediaserver. For example, it can be TV with TV support.

After that, you should specify media resources that are subject to distribution among the devices connected to the network. You must go to the HMS settings, select the "directory list" item, after - "MediaResurs", and then by clicking the Add button, you should specify the address of the corresponding files. As soon as these actions are made, you must click the "Scan" button, and after - to activate its automatic implementation so that the appropriate content is displayed in a timely manner on the TV.

How to use the media server using TV? Very simple. You need to download the interface in which the source of receipt of the TV image is intended to be specified, this can be an antenna actually, an internet channel, a flash drive, or, as in our case, a media server created using the DLNA standard. The corresponding item should be displayed in the TV menu, and the files that we marked in HSM as to be shared will be available to start. Modern televisions, as a rule, recognize homemade media server without problems. For LG, Samsung, Philips and other brands, providing support for standards similar to DLNA, is the norm.

Using IPTV at home network

Another common task solved by home network owners is the organization of television broadcast using IPTV technology. The most important condition here is here - to subscribe to the appropriate service provider (it is usually paid). When using HMS interfaces, configure in terms of using IPTV media server is also very simple.

You will need to download and install the VLC Media Player program on the PC - using it will be carried out with the appropriate content. You must bind it to the HMS interfaces, going to the "Settings", then by selecting "MediaResours", after - "Internet resources" and specifying the folder to which the VLC program installed.

After that, you need to download in the HMS playlist of TV channels in M3U format - many providers allow you to download data files from your sites. After that, we go back to the "settings" and note in the "Transcoding Profile" paragraph "Internet TV". After that you need to restart the media server. You can then start viewing the channels in the IPTV format using the TV.

Having at its disposal home media server for Windows, you are noticeably expanding the possibilities of using your information.

Maximum benefit it can bring if there are several computers and modern TVs at home.

Although the server simplifies and the use of information on mobile phones, laptops, game consoles and tablets combined into a common network.

Thus, each family member can watch video and photos, as well as listen to music using any suitable device.

What is homemade media server?

Home Media Server is a software that allows you to exchange information between different home network devices - for example, a computer, smartphone and a TV equipped with appropriate technology.

It uses the DLNA streaming standard and the free software type "Home Media Server UPNP, DLNA, HTTP" application.

All devices can be already combined with the network using wired Connections, although the customization of the home network in this case will be quite complicated.

But this option allows you to transfer sufficiently large volumes of high speed information (up to 1000 MB / s).

More opportunity wireless Combining devices through a Wi-Fi router that supports quality standards up to 100 or up to 300 MB / s.

Although the type of communication when viewing high-quality video (1920p or 4k) is possible image freezing.

But this connection is configured much easier - it will only be necessary to configure the router (and, desirable, install the password) and connect all computers, televisions and phone numbers to it.

As a rule, users choose wireless networks due to the simplicity of connecting and lacking wires across the apartment.

A lot of technology simply does not have suitable connectors for inclusion in a single network - on many smartphones, tablets, old models of consoles and even on some photo frames with WiFi can only be used by a wireless network.

Wired compound is advisable to use only for transmitting information between stationary PCs.

Creating a dlna server

In order to create a DLNA server, first of all, you should download the appropriate program on the network and install it on your computer.

Now for all Microsoft systems, starting with Windows 7 and later versions (problems with Windows 7 Home Edition may occur), the following steps:

  • go to the home group (through the Control Panel menu, from which you can enter, respectively, through the "Start" button);
  • use another option to go to the group - through the network connection center, which can be opened with the right mouse button on the connections in the tray;
  • after that, on the left below, you can see the inscription "Home Group".

If the home group has already been created, a list of devices connected currently will appear on the screen.

In the absence of a group, you must select the "Create Home Group" item by opening the "Creation Wizard".

Now you should specify which information from the main computer will open access to other devices.

To work with general documents, the corresponding paragraph is selected; To view a movie with a hard disk of the computer, it is worth choosing "streaming to all devices" (Fig. 5).

The same item will be needed to create a DLNA server.

In the process of creating a home network, a password will be automatically created, which will be used to provide access to information and protection from entering a group from unauthorized devices.

You can see it in the "Show or Print Password", and change - in the menu with the appropriate name.

In the text of the group creation, an instruction on connecting to a home group of new devices will be written (however, this information concerns wired devices running Windows operating systems).

Server Settings

After the group and, accordingly, the DLNA server is created, you can select the library name.

The server itself will be denoted by the same phrase.

In the flow of streaming parameters, devices will be specified that in these times are connected on the network, work and support the connection to the server.

At the request of the administrator, using DLNA, it can provide access to video and music to home computers and any suitable technique.

Tip: To connect the console, television or multimedia player, you should configure this feature in points. SmartShare. or Allshare., depending on the manufacturer and model of the device.

To quickly access the server settings, you can use the Windows Media Player Standard Player menu.

To work with it, you should open this application on your computer, which is now your home server, and enable streaming for the home group.

As a result, even those films that are not supported by the device can be viewed on a TV connected to the group, for example, MKV.

Although for this you have to keep the player enabled during video playback.

Programs for configuration

In addition to using standard system tools, the DLNA server can be created and configured using third-party applications.

Home MediaServer.

For example, using the Home MediaServer program, it is easy to work with which it is easy to download on the manufacturer's website.

Many machinery manufacturers allow you to download from official resources your applications to work with DLNA servers, simplifying the system setting.

We will give the most popular of them:

Plex

Plex, a convenient option for any user. The server starts on a PC, and control is carried out or from the application menu, or directly in the browser.

According to consumer reviews, the program works without errors in 90% of cases;

Fig.12. SERVIIO application.

Xbmc.

XBMC, propagating a free program, first intended for Xbox, but now working on other devices and with most operating systems.

RESULTS

Using an easy-to-install software or even built-in Windows tools, you can associate all your home devices to play multimedia into a common network.

This can noticeably simplify leisure: on the usual TV you will have access to the channels with the service package, and to any information on the Internet, and the contents of the computer open to view.

Thematic video:

Before proceeding with the story about setting up a homemade media server programI would like to explain that this program will help solve the issue "How to watch movies, listen to music from a PC on TV with DLNA technology". These include all ashare technology from Samsung. Download program "Home Media Server" You can follow this link.

  • Installing a server as a Windows service: Settings Button - Section "Advanced" - "Installing Windows Home Media Server (UPNP)".

Media Device Connection Options for Server

With options for printing network cables you can read. To avoid misunderstandings, a TV is also meant under the media device.

  1. Computer - Media Device. To connect, you must use the cross (cross) cable.
  2. Computer - Switch - Media Device
  3. Computer - Router (Router) - Media Device. For connecting devices, use direct cables.
  4. Computer - Wi-Fi router - media device. More details with a wireless connection method you can find it in the article .

The work and settings of the media server do not depend on the connection option. When using the router, turn on the automatic assignment mode of the IP addresses devices, read the details of the router (router) in the article. When using 1 and 2 options for connecting the IP address are assigned manually, the addresses should differ in the last part of the IP address, the subnet mask 255.255.255.0, the main gateway - the IP address of the computer, if necessary, set the address of the DNS servers, you can specify the address of the computer. Example: Computer address - 192.168.1.4, media device address - 192.168.1.5.

Search for a server in the media device

The server's search for smashed folders is performed according to the user manual for the media device. If you have any questions, come back to the above items on Allshare and Smart TV.
If the server is not found, but all connections are made correctly, then in the configuration of the program (Section Server), check that the list of allowed client devices is empty or the device's IP address is present in the list of allowed. When using the network security program, check the rules for accessing the module network hMS.exe. (If the server works as a Windows service, then for the HMSVC.exe module), if possible, transfer the network protection program to the learning mode, restart the "Home Media Server (UPNP)" program. If other media server is used, then it is better to turn them off at the setup.

If the server is found, but it is not possible to open it in the media device

Settings "Home Media Server (UPNP)" program that can help solve this problem in section Device: Mode "DLNA 1.0", "DLNA 1.5", "authorization service", "Russian names of key folders", in the server section of installing a permanent server port (from 1024 to 65535).

File navigation on media device (TV, media player)

If the device supports the Russian language, then in the program setting (device), you can enable the "Russian names of the main folders" mode, this affects the names of the basic folders of the media resource base. If the Russian language is not supported by the media device, the Russian name coding mode select translite, the "Russian name folder names" mode turns on / off at the request of the user (if disabled, there will be the English names of the main folders of media resources).
The names of the folders can be changed in the main form of the program on the right button "Mouse" - item "Change Title".
Unfront folders of media resources can be removed in the main form of the program on the right button "Mouse" - the "Delete folder" item or the "Exclude empty folders to transmit information to the UPNP device" can be turned on in the Device section.
The slow navigation on the basis of media resources may be associated with the features of the media device, the inclusion of the "Exclude empty folders when transmitting information to the UPNP device", the presence of slow removable media in the system, frequent change in the media resource directory and the "Automatic" Scan directories when changing them during server operation. " The "exclude empty folders when transferring information to the UPNP device" can be turned off, the "Removable media" folder can be removed in all sections of media resources (movies, music, photos).
Navigating media resource directory in the disk storage structure can be performed through the "Watch Folders" folder, "media resource directories" (Russian language is included).
If any media resources are not visible on the media device, but are present in the main form of the program, it can be associated with the MIME-type transmitted server for this media resource. MIME type can be changed in the program setting - the setup button is the "Media resources" section - "File Types" section - Select the file extension - the Edit Button.

View movies from server

The server can transmit movies to the media device in its original form or through transcoding (conversion of the film to the format supported by the media device). The film is automatically transoded if the file extension is not included in the list of the transcoding profile supported or for the movie. Configure Movies Supported Media Device: Button "Settings" - section "Device""Built-in file support""Films". The file extension list is formed by the user manual for the media device or information on the media device manufacturer website. If the movie is played in the original form, then the selection of the audio track and the subtitle filming file is possible only if this selection is supported by the media device. If you select a movie through the Transcoding folder, you can select a sound track, internal and external subtitles, audio delays, transclode profile to convert the film.

Transcoding profile - script (macro) that shapes the transcoding program call parameters or performing transcoding using DirectShow. Editing Transcoding Profiles: Button "Settings" - section - Button "Profiles".

The transcoding profile used can be selected:

  • for all movies: Settings button - Transcoder section - "Transcoded File Settings" - Movies - "Transcoding Profile"
  • for movie files of a specific type (extension) - Settings button - "Media resources" - "File Types" button - Selecting a file extension - Edit Button - "Transcoding Profile"
  • for a specific movie: In the list of films of the main form of the program, on the right button "Mouse" - "Transcoding Profile" or via a media device navigation, if the movie selection is performed through the Transcoding folder in the Settings folder formed by the server for each movie.

When playing movies, the media device usually stretches the video to the full screen, so to save the proportions of the movie frame, the server generates the parameters of the original frame size of the frame to the frame specified in the setting. Configuring the trans-code size of the frame and the addition of the supplement is set in the program setting - the settings button - the "Transcoder" section - the "Codec, Frame" page - "frame size". The complement to the color is supported not by all transcodera programs, so when choosing a transcoding profile other than the main, it may not be.

Causes of errors when playing movies from a home media server:

  • the original movie file is selected, in which the format, video coding or audio track is not supported by a media device, a possible solution solution - select a movie through the transcoding folder
  • the film is selected through the transcoding folder in which the video coding or audio track is not supported by the transcoder program, a possible problem solution is to select another transcoding profile for the film; Sound track problems can also be solved in setting up the program (section Transcoder - Page "Codecs, Frame") channels of channels - 2
  • the media device or server is not available: restart the media device or server.

Causes of termination \\ Delete Content Playback:

  • the termination of the view can occur due to insufficient disk space used to store temporary files; excess file size supported by the device; Exceeding the maximum size of the transcoded file specified in the program configuration (Transcoder section - "Parameters of the Trans-Code File" - Maximum size).
  • the film transcoding speed is insufficient for viewing, check this in the main form of the program: perform test transcoding on the PCM in the movie list - the transcription speed (FPS parameter) must be greater frequency of the film. If in the configuration of the program (section of the transcodeter), the "Transcoding Panel" mode is enabled, the transcoding speed can be viewed in it after selecting the movie on the media device. You can also enable the transcoding speed indicator (section of the transcodeter - "subtitles, speed indicator"), with a transcription indicator less than the value specified in the program setting, the current transcription speed will be displayed on the film frame in the user-specified location.

Decisions of the aforementioned problems:

  • select to view a transcoding profile with a smaller frame size, video quality
  • if the video track coding is supported by a media device, but the movie file format is not supported, you can select a transcription profile. Converting a movie file format and leaving a video track (transcoding profiles "Movies - TSMUXER" - Forming M2TS files, "Films - WMF "- forming WMV files). For the transcoding profile "Movies - Tsmuxer", you must additionally download the TSMUXER transcoder program from a home page (in configuring transcoding profiles)
  • stop viewing a movie on a media device for generating a non-transit transoded movie file
  • specify to store temporary transcoding files disk, different from the system used to storing the paging file.
  • optimize the system as a whole - check the disk fragmentation, a list of automotive programs, etc.
