If you like to use the free Internet messenger WhatsApp on your smartphone, you may also need the version on your desktop computer. There is a special client for Windows and Mac, but it requires installation. But it is possible to launch the messenger directly in the browser, via WhatsApp Web.

Features of the web version

As you understand, the web version of WhatsApp is not a separate application for a desktop computer, but an addition to your messenger on a smartphone. Therefore it is very limited. For example, it will not be possible to make a call through it. There are other nuances that you can learn about during use.

Usage

WhatsApp Web for desktop is located at https://web.whatsapp.com. When you open the page, you will see brief instructions on how to use the application. Its essence is that you need to read the displayed QR code through an application on your smartphone.

And how to do it? Everything is very simple. To get started, launch WhatsApp on your mobile device. Next, call up the messenger menu. Tap on the item. Then point your phone camera at the displayed QR code. When it is counted, you will have access to the Internet version of the application.

WhatsApp is a popular messenger that you want to use not only on your smartphone, but also on your computer. Of course, the service has a web version of WhatsApp, but it is very limited. Today we will look at the procedure for launching a full version of WhatsApp on a computer.

Unfortunately, the developers have not yet cared about developing the WhatsApp computer program. In this regard, the problem will be solved using specialized tools, namely an Android emulator. With its help, we will launch the WhatsApp application downloaded from the Play Store on a Windows computer.

In our example, we will use the Andy emulator - one of the best solutions in its segment. You can download the emulator for free using the link at the end of the article.

If you are launching Andy for the first time, then after installing and launching it you will need to sign in to your Google account (this procedure is required).

After launching Andy, the screen will display the familiar desktop, which will be familiar to every user of Android devices.

To start the WhatsApp download process, select the “Play Store” icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

In the window that opens, use the search to find and install WhatsApp.

Once the application is successfully downloaded and installed, it will appear in the application in the “Communication” folder (Andy automatically sorts installed applications into folders).

When you launch the application for the first time, you will need to register it by linking . The fact is that by specifying the number, WhatsApp will send a six-digit verification code to the specified number, which must be entered in the program window.

Once this is done, you will be prompted to restore WhatsApp correspondence if you have previously used the manager on an Android device, and then a program window will open in which all functions will work.

There is only one caveat: if you have previously used WhatsApp on a smartphone, then by registering an account on a computer, the registration on the smartphone will be reset.

WhatsApp is arguably the most popular messaging application on mobile devices. Since it is designed for mobile devices, there are times when you have to stop what you're doing just to pick up your phone and respond to important messages.

Fortunately, there are several simple ways, or rather 3, that allow you to use WhatsApp on your PC or laptop. However, you will still need WhatsApp running on your phone.

The WhatsApp support page says that you can use the web version of WhatsApp or its desktop version only if you are the happy owner of one of below listed mobile devices.

Note! The advantage of emulators is that in order to do this, there is no need to constantly connect your smartphone to the network. In cases with the previous methods, this is a prerequisite. Another advantage of the emulator is that you don't need to install WhatsApp on your phone either.
