When will the presentation of apple spring. Apple's Spring Presentation: Budget iPad and Education Software. What to expect from the event

Apple's biggest event in September is just around the corner, so what will the company be showing? Presentation 2017 September, what's new? We wrote all the rumors for September 12th.

Leaks and rumors have generously informed us that we will see three new iPhones: 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, a gradual upgrade to the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, as well as an all-new iPhone X, a completely new, smaller design that will leave the good old scanner. fingerprint in favor of the new 3D face recognition system. The iPhone X (pronunciation can be iPhone Ten, just like Mac OS X is pronounced Mac OS Ten) is also expected to be a truly luxurious device with a starting price of $ 1000.

But since Apple is an iPhone-focused company, there is more to its history than just hardware. There will be one more thing in the form of a new announcement Apple Watch Series 3, which will be about incremental improvements rather than global updates. This new watch is expected to connect to LTE so that it can be more independent and self-sufficient while you're cycling, running or swimming and don't want or can't take your phone with you. So let's take a look at everything we expect from Apple on September 12th.

Apple's iPhone X will be the star of the show, but it alone will be very limited in terms of availability.

Here are 10 new new features for iPhone X:

  1. New, dimensionless design
  2. Rear and front glass, metal frame
  3. 5.8-inch OLED display with 2.17: 1 aspect ratio
  4. "Notch" cutout, interface adapted to it
  5. 3D Face Unlock, no Touch ID fingerprint reader
  6. Apple A11 system chip, 3GB RAM
  7. Improved dual pixel camera, improved portrait mode
  8. Wireless charging support
  9. Additional memory: base model 128 GB
  10. Thousand dollar price

The big change will be centered around the new display, so let's take a closer look at this one. new screen: 5.8-inch OLED display with a very tall and narrow 2.17 to 1 aspect ratio. This is the first OLED screen in an iPhone, and it's interesting because the technology is so different from LCD. Rather than using a separate backlight for the entire screen, every single pixel on an OLED display can be turned on and off, resulting in perfect blacks and much higher contrasts as well as punchy, visually impressive colors and great viewing angles. A common problem with shadow artifacts that can appear after months of use on an OLED screen has also been addressed by Apple. And this new notch will contain the camera and all the advanced facial recognition sensors needed.

Speaking of face recognition, the technology is expected to be much faster and more accurate than the aperture scanning currently used on Android phones such as Samsung. What testifies to the level of accuracy is that the new 3D face scan will even be used to authenticate payments, Apple is confident in its unbreakable security.

All this and more will come in iPhone form X, the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. This luxury, the price of a thousand dollars, however, will surely scare a lot of buyers, so Apple also has ...

Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus: review, price, features

Leaked as a gradual upgrade over the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the other two new iPhones are now named iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Why not "iPhone 7s and 7s Plus"? Good question: the reason may be that they will also carry a new one iPhone design X partially and we mean back part glass, not a screen without a screen. Glass rear panel will also provide wireless charging support on these two phones. More details about.

Here, the list of supported features will include the new Apple A11 system chip with 2GB random access memory on the iPhone 8 and 3 gigabytes of RAM on the iPhone 8 Plus. The main difference between the two will remain screen size: a 4.7-inch screen on the iPhone 8 versus a 5.5-inch screen on the iPhone 8 Plus. Also a camera, since dual camera with support for portrait mode will be present only on the iPhone 8 Plus.

Right now, we are considering the possibility that there will be four color options for the iPhone X, rather than three as originally expected. That is, if the video found at the top of the story is legal. Will red be one of the best options colors for the iPhone X? As we told you this morning, the Gold model can be hard to find when the tenth anniversary iPhone model is officially launched. It is rumored to take place on September 22nd. Pre-orders are expected to begin on September 15th. We'll see everything after all Apple presentation 2017 September 12, already tomorrow!

So far, we've seen bogus iPhone X models in white, gold, and black. However, a new video revealed today indicates that there may be a red version of the premium iPhone 10th Anniversary. The video appears to have been filmed in a showroom. Of course tomorrow will be a big day as the most anticipated iPhone model for years is finally being rolled out by Apple after months of rumors and leaks.

Memory iPhone X iPhone 8 iPhone 8 Plus
64GB $ 1000 $ 650 $ 770
128GB $ 1 100 $ 750 $ 870
256GB $ 1200 $ 850 $ 970

Apple presentation September 2017 - iOS 11 and ARKit

Much of Apple's DNA in innovation comes from software, and iOS 11 is a prime example of this. In the newest iOS version there is a completely redesigned control center with much more convenient switches and sliders for easier control. This is also for iPad device adding a dock for better multitasking. See: new and macOS Sierra for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

But the feature that most people talk about is, of course, ARKit. Easy upgrade software will allow iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, and all subsequent iPhones - support for augmented reality. We have already seen the initial implementations of ARKit: it is used to measure distances quickly and accurately. It is used to place furniture and how it will scale and look like in your room (there is even an ARKit-enabled IKEA app). Some really futuristic implementations like sound tracking in space. We are waiting for details because the presentation of Apple 2017 September 12, already tomorrow!

Apple 2017 presentation September - Apple Watch Series 3

The new Apple Watch Series 3 will be another important new gadget unveiled at the event.

Series 3 will add 4G LTE connectivity to the watch, so you can do more on the watch without having to have your phone.

The only thing that is unlikely to be supported is phone calls on the watch regardless of the iPhone (and that's a bummer). For everything else, you should be notified of social networks without a tethered iPhone.

In terms of design, initial rumors of a complete change to the form factor have been stalled and now we are likely to see the familiar rectangular body evolved. We also hope to see improved battery life in the third Apple Watch series.

Apple presentation September 2017 - HomePod

Apple introduced Siri on the HomePod speaker this June, but we don't know much about that speaker's release date. More details:: Price, specifications, release date.

We know the Apple HomePod will deliver superior sound quality and become a music product. Which is said to outperform popular wireless speakers like the Sonos series.

We'll likely find out soon about the availability and capabilities of the HomePod.

Apple presentation September 2017 - Apple TV with 4K

Finally, but not least, the Apple TV project is moving forward with such a necessary leap forward: the 4K-capable Apple TV.

The company has previously stated that it believes the future of television is apps, so we're curious to see how it is heading in that direction, and the introduction of crisp 4K resolutions is definitely another positive development. Don't miss it, Apple 2017 presentation September 12, already tomorrow!

As always, we open with CEO Tim Cook, he gave us short review Apple development community, promising “the best and largest WWDC”. Apple 2017 presentation (WWDC 2017) starts ...

The first update is Amazon Premier Video, now coming to Apple TV. First of all, this concerns the service Amazon Prime which offers its audience a large amount of original content.

Updates for watchos

New features in watchos.

New features in the update:

Siri - has become smarter, a watch that automatically displays information that is most relevant to you: the level of traffic jams, weather, tasks for the day, etc.

New dials: a set of "kaleidoscope", and three characters from "Toy Story".

Apple Watch will be able to communicate with exercise machines in fitness centers. Many manufacturers have already signed an agreement with Apple. The update is expected to be available this fall.

The main innovation of the operating system for Apple watch is in new desktops. They now automatically show the flow of information from Siri. With the help of the program, the smart assistant will predict what information is most needed at the moment - and will show it on the screen.

Another useful feature for watchos 4: you can select a playlist that automatically starts with a workout. Unfortunately watchos music still only supports Apple music - no Spotify support. The update will arrive this fall.

New version of the operating system macOS

Poppy. Craig Federighi came out to talk about the new version of the macOS operating system.

Apple also introduced a new operating system for its Mac computers called the high Sierra. Safari will be the world's most fast browser from new version MacOS OS. But why can't we get this on other platforms?

New file system, graphics drivers etc. Apple will bring APFS to the Mac, a new file system for iOS. It also introduces the new Video codec H. 265 or hevc and replaces H. 264.?

New Graphics API - Metal II will obviously have 10x better throughput, faster frame-by-frame debugger, and GPU counters. Yes, I really don't know what most of these words mean.

Also getting metal support for an external video card, connected via the Thunderbolt 3 port of the case, and a specific implementation for virtual reality. This Apple is slowly trying to show that it can make better graphics cards for Macs, several years after the founder oculus Palmer Lucky joked that a virtual reality not on the Macs, because they can't cope.

Safari is now the fastest browser!

Apple presentation 2017, Apple improved Safari! So what's new in macOS? Safari first and foremost:

  • Refresh rate for Safari Federighi promises to make it the fastest browser on 80% faster chrome.
  • Autostart blocking which stops music and videos on the site from starting without your permission.
  • In addition, the new Safari prevents unwanted tracking users of third-party sites.

Mac mail gets a view on the create window, Spotlight integration for search and 35% improvement in its use for information storage.

The photo gets a new kind of import in chronological order, improved face recognition, which is now synchronized between devices. The app also gets a vastly improved set of editing tools as well as better integration with Pro.

Apple unveils powerful new iMac Pro

One of the most exciting devices from Apple will debut the new iMac Pro, which will support up to an 18-core processor and include a Radeon Vega series graphics chipset.

“This will be the most powerful Mac we've ever made,” said John Ternus, Apple's vice president of hardware software.

New i Mac Pro may help make up for Apple's previous setbacks, previous Mac Pros were widely crushed by critics and customers. The iMac Pro will start at $ 5,000 and will ship in December.

With this device, Apple opens the door for members of the professional community, like filmmakers and hardcore coders. Over the years, these users felt like they were turned away by Apple targeting the mass consumer like the iPhone, moving away from high-performance hardware for professionals, but the company has fixed its blunder.

The company also announced upgrades to its 27-inch and 21.5-inch iMacs. desktop computers which start at $ 1,099, with optional models at $ 1299 and $ 1,799. And Apple slashed the prices of some MacBook products and said the MacBook will have faster speeds. 21.5-inch high-definition 4K models start at $ 1,300.

MacBook fans have been waiting for Apple to introduce a major update after the laptop has remained relatively unchanged for nearly four years. But when Apple introduced the new MacBook Pro with a touch bar, a virtual touch strip built into its keyboard, customers have been separated. Some fans concluded that the Mac was now sitting in the backseat because Apple is focusing on the iPhone, iPad.

Apple presentation 2017: iOS 11 update

Users now mobile system Apple can transfer money to each other via iMessage using Apple Pay... Card-to-card transfers are supported on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

Siri gets new, deep voice training. It sounds more natural, but still not then... But she can also do the translation now (from English to Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish, to this moment), and also offer several answers to some questions. And in general, Siri is becoming more active in offering help with Apple applications.

Apple presentation 2017: new iPad Pro line

“We're at the edge of the future of iPads, and today we're going to push them further than ever before.”

Apple's developer conference tends to showcase software improvements. Unlike usual, Apple showed a lot of new hardware this time around.

Includes updated iPad versions that have declining sales. Apple has revealed it continues to stake on tablets with an update for the iPad, and CEO Timothy D. Cook said they pushed the device "further than ever before."

A new version iPad Pro has a 10.5-inch display, 20 percent larger than the previous 9.7-inch model, and will start at $ 649. Apple has stated that the size makes it ideal for displaying a virtual keyboard is comparable to a full-size physical keyboard. The company also highlighted the promotion function, which increases the refresh rate and makes motion smoother in videos. The new display is brighter, and with better color reproduction at 120 Hz screen frequency. New processors are 30% faster and based on new ones GPUs which are 40% faster. 10 hours of battery life.

After Steve Jobs introduced the first iPad in 2010, tablets exploded in popularity, but now iPad sales have fallen for more than a year. So Apple, with increasing pressure from investors to bolster its bottom line, has improved iPads far better than many other products. The company unveiled a cheaper version of the 9.7-inch iPad priced at $ 329 in March and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Apple-compatible stylus and keyboard in 2015.

They start at $ 649 for 10.5 in 64GB and $ 799 for 12.9 in 64GB.

Hello HomePod, Apple's new speaker.

Amazon has created a device that allows you to play music, view basic information, and control lighting and other home accessories. Now Apple's answer to Echo is in the HomePod. Apple unveiled the HomePod on Monday and it will be available in December.

So how does Apple compete? Apple - as an image: speakers, powered by voice assistant Siri looks better than Amazon or google version“This is a seven-inch tall canister wrapped in a shiny speaker mesh. The company also stated that preference was given to speaker sound, which can be lackluster on competing devices. HomePod has an array of speakers to create virtual surround sound.

“You don't have to know what it is, I just know it sounds incredible,” said Phil Schiller, Apple's chief marketing officer, who added that the HomePod will be priced at $ 349.

The company offers wireless systems multispeaker, allowing users to listen to music throughout the home.

Apple presentation 2017, the first day is over! If you liked the article: presentation of apple 2017, share with your friends on social. networks.

Welcome to our guide to Apple events! Here we assume when new ones will be released. Apple devices... In short, at the time of this writing, we believe the company will be presenting something new at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (). The conference will begin on June 5, 2017.

We all love good parties from Apple: lots of guesses, mysterious invitations, nice music, good old Tim Cook and, finally, a whole heap of new inventions. But if we knew when there would be such events, we could plan both the schedule and the budget.

Luckily for us, the gray-haired Apple pundits at Macworld shared their experiences. With their help, we were able to compile a detailed - albeit not infallible - guide to Apple events.

Apple Annual Cycle

Sometimes Apple releases a new product so unexpectedly that it literally hits users on their heads. But usually the company has a perfectly recognizable pattern.

There are certain points in the company's calendar of events by which you can orient yourself. Here is a list of events that almost always happen every year.

March / April: Spring

This is the first episode since Christmas that Apple has returned to the limelight. In the spring, Apple usually introduces computers and smartphones to the public, although it sometimes happened that important updates to iOS were released in the spring.

In 2015, Apple held an event called "Spring Forward" on March 9, during which they announced the price and release date of the first Apple Watch, as well as the first 12-inch MacBook. On March 21, 2016 during the event called "Let us loop you in" iPad Pro 9.7 was also presented. Also released iOS 9.3.

In the spring of 2017, Apple fans were disappointed: instead of a full-fledged holiday, the company quietly closed its online store, and then sent out, announcing the iPad 2017 and iPhone 7 in red.

It looks like there will be no more announcements in the spring, so we can only wait for the next spring event in March or April 2018.

June: Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)

This event focuses on the news from the software world. There, Apple usually talks about planned updates for existing ones. operating systems... This is done so that the company's partners can adapt their software to work with updated systems.

At WWDC 2016, Apple announced macOS Sierra and iOS 10, and released beta versions of both systems. The finished versions appeared only in the fall, but after the conference, the public had a chance to see the changes for the first time.

Sometimes Apple announces the release of new devices there. For example, the famous Mac Pro "bucket" was first presented to the public at WWDC-2013.

On September 12, in Cupertino, the traditional autumn presentation of Apple ended, at which the company presented its brand new products. As expected, these are three new iPhones, Apple Watch 3 and Apple TV 4K.

For the first time in the history of the iPhone lineup received wireless charging... Retaining the dimensions of its predecessors, as well as the standard 4.7- and 5.5-inch displays, new iPhones more pull on the iPhone 7S in terms of innovation. This is the new A11 chip, which is 70% faster than the previous one, stereo speakers (25% louder), and a 12MP camera. Optical stabilization is now even in the standard iPhone versions 8, not just Plus. The smartphones are equipped with wireless charging, but there is also a port for the Lightning cable. Official sales start on September 22nd. On sale now there will be only two versions in terms of memory: 64 and 256 GB at a price of 699 and 849 dollars, respectively.

The main flagship of Apple, the name of which was confirmed, however, as Tim Cook himself noted, reads exactly like the iPhone 10. The smartphone received a Home buttons case with 5.8-inch OLED display, latest processor A11, as well as the FaceID user identification system, which scans the user's face. The chance of hacking such a smartphone is one in a million. In addition, the device received AirPower wireless charging, but it will not be available until next year. The iPhone X will officially go on sale on November 3, starting at $ 999 for the 64GB model.

The third generation of Apple Watch smartwatches, as expected, got an LTE module that allows installing small SIM cards. The watch is no longer tied to the iPhone permanently and can be used separately. But, telephone number will be exactly the same as the iPhone owner. The clock itself can now be called. At the same time, the standard version without LTE will also remain on sale. Other improvements that should be highlighted new platform with a dual-core processor, which will make the accessory 70% more powerful than its predecessor. The novelty will work on the basis of WatchOS 4. The watch will be available at a price of 329 and 399 US dollars for models with GSM or LTE modules, respectively. Sales start - September 22.

The next generation Apple TV now supports 4K as well as HDR. New model equipped with 3 GB of RAM, and operates on the basis of the powerful Apple A10X Fusion processor. The hardware platform allows you to cope with video playback at 60 frames per second, as well as run games. It will come with an upgraded Siri Remote. In addition, there are models with 32 and 64 GB of memory to choose from. Prices are $ 179 and $ 199, respectively.

You will find a complete overview of all the new products presented by Apple at the fall presentation of 2017 in the new September issue of the magazine

Apple held a spring presentation. True, of the expected new products, only one was presented - a budget iPad with a screen diagonal of 9.7 inches. And all the other announcements were about software and educational initiatives. Actually, the topic of using Apple technologies in schools became the main topic of the event.

Apple's focus on education was clear even before the event, by the name itself (see illustration above). In addition, the apple image and font clearly hinted that some announcements would be related to the Apple Pencil and therefore the iPad. Otherwise, most analysts were wrong. Some of them were expecting a cheaper MacBook. Others suggested that Apple will finally update the iPhone SE (the last one was released two years later). Finally, there were speculations that not one, but two iPads will be released.

But all these hopes were in vain. Apple really focused on the topic of education, but presented its developments in this area in all areas - from hardware and software to services and integrated solutions.

Tim Cook at the Apple presentation

Let's analyze in detail the main thing, weeding out marketing and what was already known before. Let's start our story, of course, with the new iPad.

iPad

In fact, the cheaper iPad is not a special innovation. Let's remember: exactly a year ago, in the spring of 2017, Apple released the iPad, which sold in Russian retail for about 25 thousand rubles (with a minimum memory capacity of 32 GB). The new iPad will cost exactly the same (for a similar version), and in general its concept is similar: these are components of the previous generation, a worse camera, less RAM ... But there is one important difference: the new iPad supports work with the Apple Pencil stylus.

Let's take a look at the main features of the new product and compare them with other Apple tablets of similar size.

Of course, before "live" testing something is difficult to say for sure, but we have an assumption that the body and screen remained the same as the iPad 2017. Actually, only the SoC and the battery have been replaced (this can be seen from the slightly changed capacity), and stylus support has been added at the firmware level.

Previously, the lack of a stylus was a fundamental difference between the Pro versions, but when the iPad Pro 10.5 appeared on sale, replacing the iPad Pro 9.7, the gap between the two lines (the inexpensive iPad and the expensive iPad Pro) widened. This allowed Apple to change tactics and still add stylus support to the budget model. All the same, most of the other characteristics of the iPad Pro 10.5 are better - even though it came out last year. In particular, the new iPad does not support Smart keyboard Keyboard - the required connector is missing, like its predecessor.

One way or another, in terms of the totality of characteristics and at a price of 25 thousand rubles (and for schools and students - 24 thousand), this is a very attractive offer. And, by the way, it can significantly expand the audience of Apple Pencil users, which is also a plus for the manufacturer.

In the Russian online store, the new product is not yet available for order (although there is a corresponding page), but it is already on sale in the United States, and given that the previous iPad appeared in Russia without too much delay, we can expect that the new iPad will be available in April.

IWork update

The assumption that Apple has decided to take serious steps towards popularizing its Pencil stylus is confirmed by the changes announced at the presentation. office applications for iPad - Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Apple has added stylus support to all parts of the iWork suite by updating to version 4.0. It is significant that macOS versions were simultaneously updated to 7.0.

So what can you do now? The main thing is that you can draw directly inside these applications, as well as add handwritten notes, which will then be available in the corresponding application for macOS.

Updates are already available for download. We could not test the innovations in detail, but we made our first acquaintance. Indeed, now if you press with the stylus on any place in the document and hold it down a little, an empty block will appear inside the text, where you can draw. The block size is variable, all standard tools are available for drawing.

As for commenting, this feature is still in beta, and, by the way, we were not able to launch it with the stylus right away. However, you can use the menu in the upper right corner and turn on smart annotation there (this is the name of this function).

Next, we paint directly on top of the text. In general, I cannot say that this is something revolutionary, competitors have similar things, but I am glad that they are now available in iWork for iPad. And, what is especially nice, if you open the saved file on a MacBook or iMac, we will see exactly the same arrangement of all the marks there. Compare: first - a screenshot from an iPad, then - from a MacBook.

As you can see, all the marks have been preserved in the smallest detail.

One more new opportunity, now only for Pages - creating interactive EPUB books. Here, however, it is very difficult to say something without deep immersion, but I want to remind you that Apple's previous decision in this area - free app iBooks Author for macOS has not received any noticeable distribution (at least in our country), although the idea was good.

Honestly, it's hard to imagine that someone would seriously use Pages to create interactive books, but as they say, let it be. Moreover, it can be useful just for educational purposes. And here we come to the third group of announcements of the last presentation.

Software for education

So, Apple introduced a whole set of software solutions designed for use in schools and designed to facilitate the "digital" interaction between teachers and students, as well as allowing third-party developers to create their own applications for this area.

True, unlike iWork updates, they are not yet available and will appear, apparently, only in the summer (after WWDC). Plus, this is a very specific area, and there is definitely nowhere without immersion in the material, but we will still list the announced novelties and try to briefly comment on them based on the available information.

First of all, this is the “Creativity for Everyone” program. It includes a range of free learning resources, and teaching aids, with the help of which "teachers will be able to easily integrate elements of drawing, music, photography and video filming in any studied topics, lessons and assignments." The program contains manuals for teachers and students, lesson plans, ideas and examples, using which teachers "can bring an element of creativity and interaction in disciplines such as the mother tongue, mathematics, physics and history."

Sounds tempting, but let's see how it works. While the Apple Teacher resource, through which access to the program is realized, is not available in our country.

Another novelty is the Tasks app (again, for both iOS and macOS). It is designed to help teachers develop and deliver assignments to students, monitor their progress and apply the capabilities of other applications in the educational process. Apparently, this is something like an ezine and a collaboration environment at the same time. Moreover, Apple provides access to the functionality of "Tasks" and third-party developers - through the ClassKit API.

And the third innovation. The Classroom app, previously introduced on iPad, will now be available on Mac. It is needed for remote control pupils' tablets.

Finally, there will be an administrative Apple School Manager for educational institutions. It can be used to control Apple devices and accounts. Apple records Student IDs. But, unfortunately, we will definitely not be able to test this, so we will refrain from commenting.

conclusions

Apple's spring presentation left a mixed feeling. If we remove the beautiful words and ideas aimed at the future, and highlight only what is potentially interesting here and now, indeed to all Apple users, then the bottom line will be a boring update of the budget iPad and a less boring, but nevertheless not particularly large-scale update of office applications ...

Of course, we will test the iPad as soon as possible and, perhaps, at the same time we will tell in more detail about the software innovations of iWork. Yet the overall picture is quite predictable. And it is unlikely that such, in general, not the most significant announcements could become a topic for a presentation - remember that a year ago Apple released a budget iPad without any presentations at all, although it just became a new word in the line Apple tablets(at least for positioning and idea).

Then what is all this for? Obviously, precisely for the sake of the educational component. And here, on the one hand, the prospects that open up are very intriguing - if Apple takes this area seriously, there may be cardinal shifts towards more active and productive use. digital technologies... But on the other hand, living in Russia, we understand that the introduction of such innovations here will be very difficult - for a number of reasons, and this is definitely not a matter of the near future. But, nevertheless, I am glad that the largest company in the world has paid close attention to this difficult, but such an important area. Who knows, maybe this step will ultimately turn out to be more important for humanity and the IT industry than the release of another device, even more interesting in terms of characteristics than the new iPad.
