Uninstalling CSP

The process of removing the VipNet CSP cryptographic information protection application includes the following steps:

1. Saving a backup copy of the container files of the private keys.
2. Create a Windows restore point in case of failure when uninstalling a software solution.
3. The uninstallation process itself.

Let's take a look at each step separately.

Step 1: Backup

Before completely uninstalling VipNet CSP, you need to back up the containers containing the encryption keys. To create a backup copy of any of the saved keys in the CSP, you first need to understand whether there is an application in the 1C database for connecting the company to the 1C-Reporting database or not.

If a copy of the key is located in the file system of the computer and at the same time in the infobase there is an application for connecting the specified company to the 1C-Reporting databases, then the first step is to find out the directory where the object is located and copy it to the computer - follow the instructions below. If there is no application for connection, then the first steps of the instruction should be omitted:

1. Open the "1C-Reporting" window and go to the "Settings" tab.
2. In the "Electronic reporting" section, click on the link "List of statements".
   
3. A form will appear on the window, in which there is a list with all available applications. We are interested in the last element of the list - the newest one. Click on it with the left mouse button - the "Application for connection" window will appear on the display.
4. In the specified dialog box with the request, go to the far right tab "Service information" and find the path located in the upper section on the main part of the "Path to container ..." screen.
5. Click on the specified path with the left mouse button - move to the end of the line with the mouse and enter the name of the container file that you want to transfer.
6. For example, you should get a similar directory: C: \ Users \ User_Name \ AppData \ Local \ Infotecs \ Containers \ 2019-01-23 12-11-59 OOO Check: CD51A3D5ADABA39.
   
7. It is necessary to write down the name of the container for yourself so as not to get confused when choosing this item from many other keys.
8. Now you can start backing up the private key container file. To do this, go to "Start", to the "All Programs" tab, select the "VipNet" folder in the list of programs and run the exe application of the same name. In Windows 10, just type in the file name in the built-in search bar located to the right of the Start menu.
9. In the upper left part of the VIPNet window there is a hyperlink "Key containers" - follow it.
10. On the main part of the screen, all containers installed on this PC will be displayed - you need to go to the "User Keys" section, find the name of the required key - in this example it is "2019-01-23 12-11-59 OOO Checkout" - in the general list and click on the interactive button "Copy to ...", which is located in the lower right corner of the display under the list of keys.
    
11. The window "CSP - container initialization ..." will appear on the screen. In the "Folder on disk" section, specify the directory for the future storage of the key - click the browse and select the required folder. You can also move the file to secure removable media by specifying the path to the USB device in the "Select a device" section.
12. You will need to come up with and enter a password that contains 6 or more symbols, numbers and letters. This password will be useful in the future for working with the saved key container: it is better to write down the password and save it in a safe place. Click "OK".

Uninstalling ViPNet LSS

ViPNet LSS is a special application designed to work with electronic signatures. Before uninstalling Vipnet Local Signature Service from PC, you need to transfer the saved certificates to another PC or removable media. To do this, be sure to export the files in the private key container:

1. Go to the "Certificates" tab, select "Personal", click on the "Export" button - specify the file name in the "Save As" field, and specify the directory for saving below. Tap "Save".
2. Transfer the object to removable media.

Note! You should not try to save certificate.cer through the "Certificates" tab located on the top toolbar of Vipnet, select the required type of certificate from the "Personal", "Root", "Intermediate" tabs and use the "Copy to file ..." option, and then save file in the "certificate.cer" format. If you save the certificate without the key container, then it will be impossible to return it back to the application, since the program will generate an error "25257". At the same time, it is impossible to create a container for an incorrectly saved certificate: such an object can be deleted and forgotten.

Step 2: Create a Windows restore point

The second step in the process of removing VipNet CSP from the computer, which will completely secure the system from unforeseen failures, is to create a system rollback point.

To do this, the user will need to do the following:

1. Click on the magnifying glass icon next to the Start menu.
2. Enter the search query "Recovery" and click on the displayed search result - go to the window of the "Control Panel" tool.
3. Follow the hyperlink located at the very bottom of the "Restore" - "Settings" dialog box.
4. In the "System Properties" menu that opens, go to "Protection" and tap on the "Create ..." button, which is located in the lower right corner of the active window.
5. Specify the name and storage directory of the rollback point - follow the prompts of the "Wizard".
6. Click Apply and exit the dialog with OK.
7. Restart your PC.

Step 3: Uninstall CSP

After the preparations are completed, the user can safely remove the VipNet CSP from the computer. To perform the operation, you must:

1. Go to the "Start" menu, select the section of the opened menu "Control Panel" - the "Programs and Features" tool. Windows 10 users need to click on the gear icon in the "Start" menu - located above the shutdown button and select the "Applications" section or enter the search term "Install and Uninstall ...".
2. Find the program to be removed - click on the item in the list of programs with the left mouse button - on the screen next to "Organize" the option "Delete" will appear - click on this interactive key.
3. Follow the prompts of the "Installation Wizard" - at the end click "OK" and restart the PC.

After the program components are uninstalled, you need to start cleaning the file system and registry from junk files. For this:

Note! After logging in with the Admin account, you need to terminate all exe processes that are related to the VIPNet client, that is, Application Control, Monitor, and Business Mail. Working with a set of dst keys

In ViPNet 3.2 and later, in order to install a personal set of keys, it is enough to double-tap the dst-archive with the mouse button. But if this method does not work, then the user needs to follow these steps:

1. Open the VIPNet client, enter the password and click "Settings ...".
2. Click "Next", specify the path to the ".dst" file, click on "Browse" and select the desired object to add to the Client, go to the next step.
3. In the window of the installer tap on "Next" - a form for entering a password will open - enter a password and a passphrase, click "Next".
4. Follow the instructions on the screen - upon completion of the initialization, set the check mark next to the inscription "Run the application" and tap "Finish".
5. To delete a set of Dst Vipnet keys - right-click on the element and select the "Delete" option.

Uninstalling in Safe Mode

If the user is faced with the problem of uninstalling programs in protected mode after installing the USB dongle driver or for any other reason, but he urgently needs to remove the VipNet Client, then the built-in Windows Safe Mode will come to the rescue:

1. Restart the PC, and immediately after the cursor appears on the black screen, click on "F8".
2. Windows boot options will appear on the monitor - select 1.
3. After booting the PC in protected mode, you need to click on the Win + R combination, and in the "Run" window, type in the "regedit" command. You can also get to the “Registry Editor” window by entering the “regedit” code in the Windows search bar.
   
4. Right-click on any folder located on the right side of the screen. In the menu that opens, select the "Find ..." option - drive in the following directory address "HKLM \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ SafeBoot \ Minimal \" without quotes and spaces.
5. Click on the "Minimal" folder with the right mouse button and select "New" - "Section". Specify the name for the section "MSIServer".
6. Open the "Default" entry in the folder you just created. In the "Values" field of the string parameter for "MSIServer" specify "Service". Click "OK".
7. After carrying out the specified manipulation, the “MSIServer” object with the “Service” parameter will be located in the “HKLM \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ SafeBoot \ Minimal \” directory.
   
8. Now you need to uninstall VipNet Client in safe mode. To do this, you need to go to the "Command line" - hold down Win + R and drive in the "cmd" command without quotes - "Enter". Windows 10 users need to enter "PowerShell" - right-click on the "Start" menu, and find this section in the drop-down list.
9. In Cmd or PowerShell enter the command "net start msiserver".
10. The dialog box says "Windows Installer is running."
11. You can also start the Windows console through the "Services" command - hold down the Win + R combination and enter the "services.msc" code without quotes.
    
12. Find the "Installer" in the list of services - right-click on it and click "Run".
13. Now you can remove any programs from your computer in safe mode, including VipNet.
14. To do this, go to Add or Remove Programs and uninstall using the usual method.

Reasons for the error

Most often, this error occurs when the program for encrypting reports (cryptographic provider) ViPNet CSP stops working at the user's workplace.

Step 1. Protect electronic signatures in the registry from deletion

According to the instructions, we will delete all traces of the ViPNet CSP encryption program, so protect yourself from accidental deletion of valid electronic signatures. To do this, copy them to another folder manually or via ViPNet CSP.

Copying a key manually

1. Open the folder with the electronic signature. By default, electronic signatures are recorded at: C: \ Users \ * Username * \ AppData \ Local \ Infotecs \ Containers.
2. Copy the electronic keys to another folder. The only condition is that the folder should not contain the names "Infotecs" and "Contaiters". Otherwise, Reg Organizer will delete them.

If electronic signatures are stored in another folder, and you do not know where, copy the signatures using standard ViPNet CSP tools.

Copying the ViPNet CSP key

1. Open the VipNet program
2. Open the electronic signature for copying
3. Choose a place to copy the electronic signature
4. Copy the electronic signature

After copying all the keys, go to the next step - downloading the Reg Organizer program.
