How to transfer a movie from a disk to a USB flash drive. How to copy videos from disc to computer. How to transfer, not copy, folders and files

The twenty-first century is in the yard, there are so many information carriers that you can easily get confused in them. Sometimes there are situations when it is necessary to rewrite the necessary information from one medium to another. Then the question arises in our head: how to rewrite from disk to disk or from disk to USB flash drive and so on? It is for this reason that we decided to write a small instruction on the census from one medium to another.

Of course, we will not consider the simplest options such as "computer - flash drive" or vice versa. We are more interested in the question: how to rewrite from disk to disk or from cassette to disk? The second option is the most popular, since there are many recordings left on videotapes that I would like to keep.

Disk

Many people ask the question: how to rewrite the necessary information from disk to disk? We propose to consider this issue right now.

To write from disk to disk, you need a special program. Now there are quite a few of them: both paid and free. What can even a novice PC user cope with? The most common among them are Nero, of which there are quite a few now, different versions, paid and free, Ashampoo Burning Studio and ImgBurn. As for Nero, versions 6 and 8 are the most suitable for beginners. They are very easy to use and fully Russified.

What should be done? First of all, install the program on your computer, following the prompts of the installer. We invite you to get acquainted with the program Ashampoo Burning Studio. First, insert the disc that you need to copy, in the main window of the program, select the "Copy" item. When the reading is completed, you need to insert a blank disc, click the "Burn" button. The recording process will not take long. Next, a window will pop up that everything went well, you need to click "OK". That's it, you have done your job. Agree that everything is extremely simple. This program has a clear interface, a large stock of tools, believe me, it will still be useful to you. In addition, this software product is absolutely free.

Flash drive

With the help of the same program, we will analyze the question of how to rewrite from a USB flash drive to a disk. It couldn't be easier, follow the instructions and you will succeed:

  1. Create a new folder on your computer.
  2. Insert your USB stick and copy what you need into this folder.
  3. If you want to burn music, then you need to insert a blank disc, open the program and select "Burn or convert music", then "Create CD".
  4. You have opened a window where you need to insert the files that you want to burn to disk. When the list is formed, click "Next" - "Save".

As you can see, everything is quite simple, use this hint-instruction - and you will never have any difficulties.

Cassette

How much does it cost to digitize videocassettes in salons? 200-300 rubles per hour. Now see how many videos you would like to keep. Isn't it profitable to go for these services? That is why we will now teach you how to rewrite everything you want from cassette to disc, spending no more than 1.5 thousand rubles on it.

What will we spend this money on? For special equipment called a TV tuner. It is available both external (for a laptop) and internal (for a stationary computer). We also need a tape recorder, a set of wires (usually come with a TV tuner). For the external, we need YUSB and bells, for the internal - only the second.

We connect a TV tuner, install software and drivers (disks are always included). Run the program and insert the cassette, press "Start". Now it's worth adjusting the clarity of the image. A picture appeared on the monitor, very fuzzy, blurry, right-click on it and select the "Channel settings" item. After we have received the quality we need, we wind the cassette to the beginning and start recording, press the button with a circle. The video is now being recorded to your computer. After the recording is over, press "Stop".

Everything, the video is in the memory of your computer. Now it can be written to disk, we have already said how to do this, and we will consider some programs later. Please note that sometimes voids are formed in the resulting record, that is, places where there are no records. How to get rid of this? With the help of video editing and cropping programs, but this is a slightly different topic, we will not deviate from ours.

Telephone

On this topic very briefly, because everything is very clear here. Have you recorded an interesting video on your phone and want to save these moments to disk? To do this, we need a computer, a USB cable from your phone and a disk. The sequence of your actions:

  • Connect your phone to your computer.
  • Find the files you need.
  • Save them in the computer memory.
  • Insert disc.
  • Use one of the CD or DVD burning programs.

Nero

Now we will very briefly consider one of the most demanded programs. How to rip DVD to disc? Very simple, use Nero's multifunctional multimedia center. It is capable not only of recording discs, but also of editing, reading, playing, creating, copying. This product is often used to protect multimedia libraries as it has a backup function.

This software product is fraught with just a lot of possibilities, and an extremely clear interface allows you to perform even very complex tasks for beginners.

ImgBurn

We have already reviewed two software products that help us in the matter of recording. We suggest you read a few words about the capabilities of another utility - ImgBurn. How do I rewrite a CD? Our product can help us in this matter. This program has a great advantage - it is free, that is, it is more in demand. Opportunities:

  • Burn CDs and DVDs from images.
  • Create ISO from folders on hard drives.
  • Supports double layer DVDs.
  • Supports many types of images.

Greetings, dear readers! When installing a new operating system on a computer, it will be enough to open the DVD drive, then install the installation distribution and after performing some operations in the BIOS (you can read about what a BIOS is here), you can proceed to the task.

However, what to do if the operating system needs to be installed on so-called portable netbooks or laptops, which, as you probably know, do not have a disc reader. In this case, the operating system is installed from a USB drive.

Installing windows from a flash drive itself is no different from installing from a disk, however, the process of burning the installation distribution to a flash drive itself has some peculiarities. In this article, we will look at how to burn windows 7 to a USB flash drive in several ways. It should be noted here that in addition to writing the windows distribution to a USB flash drive, it can also be written to a memory card, but not all laptops have the ability to boot from a memory card. Therefore, before creating a bootable USB flash drive or memory card, you should make sure that your laptop or netbook is able to boot from the memory card. And how exactly to check you can find out by reading my article:

What is a computer BIOS and how to configure it

In fact, installing windows from flash media is no different from installing from regular DVD media.

I How to create bootable flash media

So, the first method that we will consider with you is installation using the command line. This means that by using special commands, we will create a bootable removable media. But first, we need a flash drive of at least 4 GB. This method is, I would say, the most difficult for beginners, since you will have to consistently enter commands that are not entirely familiar to novice users. Therefore, you should not be afraid of these unfamiliar commands, the purpose of each command is described by me below.

1. Connect the USB flash drive to the computer, and then click on start and select the "Run" command. At the command prompt, you will need to enter cmd.exe and click OK. In this case, the command must be run as an administrator.

2. In the window that opens, you will need to type "diskpart" to open the disk management utility. After the utility appears, you need to type the "list disk" command, which allows you to view the list of used disks in the PC. You will need to select your flash drive. Let's say in my example - this is disk 1. So, we write "select disc 1". Thus, we indicate that all subsequent actions will be performed with this particular disk.

3. In the next step, we will need to clean up the flash drive to which the recording will be carried out. Type the "clean" command.

4. After the message "Disk cleanup completed successfully" appears, the next step is to create a new partition by specifying the "create partition primary" command. Here we indicate to the system that in the future we will work with this particular section - "select partition 1".

5. In order to make this section active, set the "active" command.

6. Then, at the next stage, you will need to format the partition we created on the flash drive in the NTFS file system - "format fs = NTFS".

7. After the formatting of the flash drive is completed (100%), you will need to activate the process of connecting the device by specifying the command "assign letter = Z" and press "Enter".

8. Then, after the message “Connected successfully” appears, type “Exit” to exit from diskpart at the command prompt.

E - Partition of the disk in which the windows distribution is present;

Z - Designation of USB media.

The copying process itself takes about 50 minutes. After the copying is completed, it remains only to restart the computer and go to the BIOS. And then after setting the appropriate settings in the BIOS, you can start installing the operating system.

II Method of creating bootable flash media

Consider the second way how to write windows 7 to a USB flash drive. The essence of this method is that to create a bootable USB flash drive, we need the UltraISO program, with which we will create a bootable removable media with the windows 7 operating system.

If you do not have this program installed, then you can download it from the Internet, and it is distributed on a paid basis. However, you can use the demo version of this program and use this program in the trial period.

So, open the program and click "File - open".

In the window that opens, you will need to go to the image of the operating system and click "Open". We will consider what an image is and how to create it in one of the future lessons. By the way, let me remind you that the blog hosts various contests, tournaments, participate and win cash prizes. In order for you to have a better chance of becoming a WINNER, you should Subscribe to the blog update so as not to miss the appearance of new articles. You can read how to correctly subscribe to the blog update by clicking on this link.

Then in the top menu, click "Boot" and select "Burn hard disk image" in the drop-down menu.

Therefore, before formatting, copy important data to your hard disk.

After formatting is successfully completed, click "Save".

For a certain time, the image will be recorded on a USB flash drive or memory card. This method is the simplest in comparison with the first method.

In general, in addition to the above methods for creating bootable flash media, there are also various other methods. For example, to write the windows distribution to a memory card or USB flash drive, use a utility called WinToFlash.

Plus, I suggest you also watch the live video:

The essence of this utility is similar to the previously reviewed UltraIso program. That is, you open the program, specify the path to the location of the windows distribution image, copy and write. What methods of creating bootable flash media do you know? In addition, I recommend that you read the article, installing windows 7 on your computer. This article will show you how to properly install the windows 7 operating system.

Having considered in this article the question of how to write windows 7 to a USB flash drive, you can thereby independently reinstall the operating system on your netbook or laptop using a flash drive.

This concludes this article. I hope the material was useful and interesting for you.

How to write windows to a USB flash drive for installation (bootable)

In this article I will tell you how to write an image to a USB flash drive (in this case, a windows image) for the subsequent installation of the system on a computer. Nowadays, many people have laptops and netbooks where there is simply no optical drive, or there is no way to install windows from a disk, this is where the creation of a bootable flash drive windows 7 comes to the rescue. This article is primarily intended for these tasks.

We will write an image to a USB flash drive in two ways. The first method will be implemented using a very good ultra iso program, and the second using WinSetup From USB. We'll start by looking at the steps for working with ultra iso, since this method is less labor-intensive and the process of creating a bootable Windows 7 USB flash drive will be pretty fast. The second method will remain for those who, for some reason, "did not work out" with the first option.

Method number 1

So let's go. First, download the Ultra ISO program. After the program has been downloaded, installed and launched (we press the trial period, if there is no desire to buy), you can start a fairly simple process of writing Windows to a USB flash drive:

1. You must specify the path to the image that should be placed on your hard disk: Click "File" => Open (Fig. 1)

2. Then, select: Boot => Burn the hard disk image (Fig. 2)

Method number 2

This method will also tell you how to write windows to a USB flash drive. What is needed for this option:

1. A little free time;

2. Computer (with hardware that supports booting from a USB flash drive);

3. Program for preparing a USB flash drive (download);

4. Actually the flash drive itself (even an SD card will go);

5. The image of the operating system that we want to install.

As an example, I will show how we will write an image of the Microsoft windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system to a 4GB SD card. Immediately I want to draw your attention to the choice of the operating system. If your computer has less than 4GB of random access memory (RAM), then you should install the 32-bit (x86) version of the operating system, since the 64-bit version will simply clutter up the RAM with unnecessary processes.

We insert the USB flash drive into the USB port and format it to FAT32 or NTFS using windows. To do this, you need to go to My Computer, find a USB flash drive there and right-click on its icon. In the context menu, select the "Format ..." item. In the formatting window, select the FAT32 or NTFS file system (the latter will be better if the flash drive has a capacity of more than 4GB), and also select the cluster size "Standard cluster size" and click the "Start" button. Everything is shown in the picture:

Next, we download a small program in which we will do all the operations we need. There are several programs of this type, but I chose WinSetupFromUSB because it does not require installation, takes up almost no disk space and is easy to use.

We launch the program. First, we need to select the device to which we will record the image. This is done in the drop-down menu at the top (if the flash drive is not displayed in this menu, click on the Refresh button). Next, we need to prepare the flash drive for recording the image, because if we just copy the image, it will be impossible to enter the system installer, because there is no boot sector. To create it, click on the Bootice button.

In the Bootice utility window that opens, press the Process MBR button, then see if the Grub4Dos checkbox is ticked (if not, check it) and press the Install / Config button. In the Config Grub for DOS window, click on the "Save to disk" button, the program will display a window that the boot record has been successfully written to the drive.

We return again to the Bootice utility window, where we press the "Process PBR" button and do the same without changing anything in the last window, press OK.

That's it, now we just have to write the image to the USB flash drive, this is done in the main window of the program, which we saw immediately at startup. It is necessary to put the necessary checkbox in it - if you are going to install windows XP, then this is the first checkbox, if Vista or Seven - the second. Next, click on the "..." button on the other side of the checkmark and set the path where our unpacked image is stored on the hard disk, or simply mounted to a virtual drive using DaemonTools or Alcohol. Click on the "GO" button and wait until the process is over.

Upon completion, the program will display the message “Job Done!”. Everyone, dear friends, you can reboot and start installing the operating system.

Also, I advise you to read the article regarding

optimization of the operating system.

How to throw the necessary information from a CD or DVD to a USB flash drive

Hello dear visitors to the Start-Luck blog. Some readers remember the times when we shared our videotapes, disks, books and then lost them in obscurity, forgetting which bad friend took "our charm".

For modern people, this is already such a rarity. Digital options include recording and rewriting. Even if you want to give something to someone, then with peace of mind you can always make a copy and not worry about whether the information will be returned to you or not. She will remain at hand. We will talk about this today.

In this article I will tell you how to copy from disk to USB flash drive using a simple method and using an ISO image. I will work on windows 7, although in fact it is not so important. The actions will not be very different regardless of which version you are using.

And, of course, we will not do without video instructions, which will resolve any misunderstanding between me and those eager to find out information.

I think we can start already.

The easy way without programs

So, first of all open the section "My Computer". Then you need to insert your CD or DVD into your drive.

Some laptops do not have a dedicated disk drive. What to do in this case? I think you already know the answer to this question and have used ISO bootable discs more than once. You should have it now.

If this is your first time encountering this problem, then I will explain. You need to mount the image, as I have already told you in one of my previous publications. Thanks to programs like Daemon Tools, we can easily solve this problem.

You will not have a physical disc, but the computer will start to "think" that the CD is in the correct drive. Stop for a second, now you need to digress a little from the main problem and solve a related one. My article will help you with this. After reading and "inserting" the image into the "floppy drive", come back here.

As soon as you have solved the most important task and inserted a physical disk or its image, you will have an autorun window. Click on "View Files".

If the required window is not displayed, then you can right-click on the image or disk to bring up a dialog menu, in it select the "Open" function, or the same "Autorun".

Now insert the USB stick into the USB port. This stuff is enough for any laptop or computer. Select the "Open folder to view files" section again. Again, if this does not happen, the right mouse button and the "Open" or "Autostart" function will help you.

As a result, you should have two windows with the "insides" of each of the disks. If this does not happen, just open the CD / DVD, then in a new window go to the "My Computer" section and open the USB flash drive.

Copy files from disk. Click on the desired ones, then the right mouse button and the "Copy" function.

You can, of course, first open the disk and copy files from it, and then "open" the USB and insert everything you need there, but I would not want you to get confused.

Open the second window, in which you have files from the flash drive, load them there. Right mouse button and then the "Paste" option.

That's basically it. The problem has been solved.

Video instruction

In this video tutorial, you can watch how to download music to a USB flash drive from a disk - where the buttons are located, in what order to click on them, and so on. Everything is very detailed.

If you get confused in my text, then everything will become clear literally in 3 minutes.

Some licensed discs with audio files contain copy protection. What to do about it? The easiest way is to use special programs that help to remove it.

This method should be treated with great caution, as there are no licensed utilities available to help you accomplish this task. This activity is not legal! Therefore, you may have to download files that may contain viruses. Personally, I am afraid of such things. Too many "valuables" are lurking on my PC.

Considering how active hackers are now, this is a really serious question. You can read in my style such articles as "The new Vkontakte virus" or "A terrible virus that everyone should know about."

Based on the previous words, I am not giving you any specific link to the program, and the training video, in the description of which you can find the download URL, I offer only for information. Know that there is such a way.

Creating an image and then overwriting it

We're moving on to disk images. What is it, I think you already understood. The same disc, only in digital format, intended for sharing with friends, deceiving the computer, they say, something is already inserted into it, and so on.

In general, any image can simply be transferred from a computer to a USB flash drive without problems, according to the same principle that I have already described. However, there is also an alternative method.

This blog has a detailed article on how to quickly download a disk image to a USB flash drive using the UltraISO program. In it, I described in detail how to create an image and drop it, so you can familiarize yourself with it by following the link.

To make this post of mine more useful, I will leave you only a video on this topic, which will allow those who are in a hurry to cope with this task faster. For others, I advise, of course, to read the publication. It details everything that might come in handy.

I recommend that you also download the licensed version of this Ultra ISO program from the Allsoft website. There is too much important information stored on any PC that hackers can use to use pirated utilities with peace of mind. I would not want your personal data to be compromised. The risks are too great.

Don't forget about antivirus programs as well. They, of course, are unlikely to help from well-known scammers who work on a serious scale, but there are only a few of them, and the interest in other people's PCs is now huge. This is a very easy way to make money. The phrase "It will never touch me" no longer works. Everyone is interested in you.

You can download a good antivirus from the same Allsoft website. I like NOD32, for example.

That's all. Do not forget to subscribe to my Vkontakte group. Until next time and good luck.

Transfer windows 7 to a USB flash drive

Burning a disc with windows OS for further use is no longer effective. The disc can be scratched, it is not as compact as a flash drive and its service life is much shorter than that of removable media. Therefore, we will consider a way to transfer windows 7 from a computer to a USB flash drive.

There are many ways to do this. Let's look at an example of using the Novicorp WinToFlash. It doesn't need to be installed. It is downloaded as an archive. We launch the software and accept the terms of the license agreement.

Choosing a free copy method. It will differ in the speed of the program.

Then there will be a series of repetitions "Next". After that, the program window will appear, in which the user will be notified that the "Setup Wizard" will prepare a USB flash drive for copying the windows OS to it. Click below on the "Languages" button, and then on the mark.

We put the mark "Always run in wizard mode" and click "Next".

We insert the USB flash drive and put the mark "I inserted the disc into the computer ...". We press "Next".

Select the disk where the operating system is installed and the media to which the files will be copied. We press "Next".

After the files have been transferred, click ready and remove the USB flash drive.

If you borrowed a disc with a video DVD or CD, you liked the content, then in order to watch it a few more times in the future (suggest to others), it would be nice to copy it to a computer, or even better to an external hard drive or flash drive - this is more reliable.

The process of copying video itself is similar for all drives and there is nothing complicated.

Difficulties arise only if you want to burn a video (for example, a movie) to a DVD disc for viewing on a TV through a player - copying will not work.

Then you need it. A lot of them.

I will not dwell on the recording process, but I will only describe the easiest and fastest way to copy a video from a disk to a computer.

Instructions for copying discs to a computer

The first step is to open the drive and insert the disc into it. Then click on the computer line (on the right side).

You will see all the contents of the disk on your computer or laptop.

Highlight it in blue (hold down the left mouse button and swipe up from the bottom of the window or vice versa) and, now pressing the left button, click on the “copy” tab that appears.

Now select the place (folder) where you want to save the copied video on your computer and by pressing the left key in it, click on the "paste" line.

After that, all the content will appear on your computer, unless of course you do it correctly - as described.

There are, of course, many other ways. Files (video) can be simply dragged and copied automatically or using hotkeys.

Try the method described above for now, and eventually learn everything else. Good luck!

How to transfer a folder from one disk to another, how to copy files from a computer to a USB flash drive - such questions can often be heard from novice computer users. Since it is difficult to explain these actions in words, I created a lesson with pictures in which I show how to copy files and folders to a USB flash drive, to another drive, to another folder.

How to open a USB flash drive, a folder to copy

1) First, open the folder where we will copy.

We make a double click on the Computer icon (in Windows 7), or My Computer (Windows XP). This icon is usually located in the upper left corner of the monitor screen (desktop).

A window with the contents of your computer will open (Fig. 1). This is how the window looks in Windows 7.

Rice. 1a

And this is how the window looks in Windows XP (Fig. 1a).

The windows on your computer may also differ due to the appearance settings. I don’t think it necessary to spend time changing the appearance of windows. This is irrelevant. I would like to draw your attention to the most important points.

List Hard drives... In fig. 1 you see in the list, 4 local disks on the computer, in figure 1a we see 2 local disks on another computer. The minimum can be 1 local disk, this is when one hard disk (hard drive) is installed on the computer and it is not partitioned into local disks.

List Removable media devices... This list will show your CD - drives, DVD - drives. Your flash drive will appear in the same list when you insert it into the USB input of your computer. For example, in Fig. 1, the flash drive is visible under the name Removable Disk (K). Your drive will most likely be assigned a different letter, depending on the number of drives on your computer.

In this example, I want to copy the folder from the USB flash drive to the local drive H. Therefore, we double-click on Local disk (H) in fig. one.

Rice. 2

A list of folders and files of my disk H opened. If you need to create a new folder into which you will drop files from a flash drive, I wrote in red where you need to right-click to create a new folder. And I think you have already learned the lesson on creating a folder.

If you want to drag a folder from a USB flash drive directly to the disk (and not to an additional folder), then you do not need to create a folder. In this case, we believe that we have already prepared the disk to which we will copy the folder from the flash drive.

Now we take the window by the top edge and drag it to the right or down. I wrote in red where you need to press the left mouse button and, without releasing it, drag the window to the side, or down. Practice dragging windows!

2) Now you need to open the USB flash drive (disk) from which we will copy.

Double-click the " My computer". A new window opens, exactly as in the figures. But, if in the first case, we chose the disk - where to copy, then now we need to open the disk from which we will copy.

I was going to copy from a flash drive. In my case, it is Removable disk H(fig. 1). I double-click on this disk and a window with the contents of the flash drive will open.

The window from which we are copying and the window into which we are copying should not completely cover each other. I arranged them on top of each other (Fig. 3), and if you have a widescreen monitor, you can arrange the windows side by side.

How to copy files and folders.

Now we can see the contents of both disks in two different windows .. To do this, I move the cursor to the desired folder, press the left mouse button. Then, without releasing the left mouse button, I drag the folder from the upper window to the lower window.

Rice. 3

When "+ Copy to Local Disk" appears, release the mouse button and the folder will be copied to a new window.

Rice. 4

It's a little different in Windows XP. There a + appears and a vertical bar to show where the folder will be copied to (Figure 4).

Thus, you can copy files and folders from one local drive to another, from a USB flash drive to a local drive, from a local drive to a USB flash drive. If you inserted 2 flash drives at once, then you can immediately copy from one flash drive to another.

How to transfer, not copy, folders and files.

We have copied the folder from one disk to another. Once you've verified that the folder appears in its new location, double-click it to make sure that the contents of the folder are also in place.
Now you can delete the old folder that you copied. To do this, click the cursor on the old folder once so that it is selected, and then press the Delete key. Windows will ask again:
"Are you sure you want to send the folder to the trash bin?" Press the "Yes" button. And the folder will be in the trash can.

Note. You can make it so that when you drag, the old folder is immediately deleted. To do this, do everything as in fig. 3, but keep the Shift key pressed. The folder will appear in the new window, and disappear in the old one. However, until you gain experience with a computer, I advise you to follow the above scheme.

A common mistake when copying files.

Rice. 5

Often, novice users release the mouse button when the copied file (or folder) is over another folder (Fig. 5). As a result, the file is inside that folder, and the user begins to search for a long time - where did the file go.

Instructions

Insert a blank disc into your computer. Launch the Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 Free program. From the proposed options for further work, select "Record or Convert Music". Next - "Create Audio CD".

In the newly opened window, press the "Add" button and point to the files that you copied from flash drives... When the list is complete, click Next and Save.

note

Do not interrupt recording, wait for the process to finish.

Useful advice

Choose a low write speed, so you can be sure that the disc will write without errors, although this process will take a little longer.

When working with a computer, abnormal situations sometimes arise. To solve them, it may be necessary to boot from a separate CD or DVD. It is desirable to have a boot disk at hand for every user. However, physical media deteriorates over time and can become unreadable. Plus, they're pretty fragile. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of saving the information in the form of an image of the existing boot disk. The creation of a bootable image is performed by a full copy of the physical disk. This allows, in case of damage, to quickly write the boot image to a new empty disk. The boot image can be created using the Nero application.

You will need

  • Application for working with Nero discs

Instructions

Start the Nero Burning ROM disc utility. In the main menu of the program, select the items "Extras" - "Save Tracks ...". This operation is complete with all information, as well as loading tracks. This creates a bootable * .iso or * .png on the disk.

Insert the saved bootable disk into the floppy drive of your drive. In the Save Tracks window, select all the tracks on the disc to copy. To do this, click on the "Select all" button in the window or select the necessary tracks in the list with the mouse.

Select the image format from the drop-down list. And also set in the "Path" field using the "Browse ..." button the name and path where the program should save the created boot image. Set additional parameters for reading and copying the disc, if desired.

Start creating a bootable image. To do this, click the "Go" button in the save window. A progress window will appear showing the copying process. Upon completion of the operation, the program will display a corresponding message. The boot image has been created on your hard disk.

note

The option to create a bootable USB drive using the command line is suitable for Windows Vista or Windows Seven.

In order to be able to run some programs and applications without using the operating system, you need to create special boot disks that will run in DOS mode.

You will need

  • - Nero Burning Rom;
  • - IsofileBurning.

Instructions

The easiest way to burn a disc is to use a prepared disc image for this task. Naturally, it must be created from the startup disk. Find the image file containing the required software package and download it.

To quickly record this image, you can use a utility specially designed for this purpose. Download the IsoFileBurning gadget. Run this app.

In the first paragraph, specify the location of the required image. In the second menu item, select the DVD drive, into which you first install a blank CD or DVD disc. Press the "Burn ISO" button to start burning the autoload boot cd.

In a situation where you need to configure the parameters of the future bootable disk in more detail, it is recommended to use the Nero Burning Rom program.

Install this program and run the Nero.exe file. When the New Project window appears, select DVD-Rom (Boot) in the left column. Open the Download menu. Find the "File image" item and specify the location where the required image file is stored by clicking the "Browse" button.

Now click the "New" button. Add additional files to the disc if you need to write applications to it that are not included in the standard set of the image.

Click the "Record" button. Set the writing speed of this disc. Check the box next to "Finalize disc" if you do not plan to add new files to it after the end of this recording session.

Click the "Burn" button and wait for the boot cd burning process to complete. Verify the health of the disk by restarting your computer.

Useful advice

Do not set the maximum write speed if you want to use this disc with other computers and disc readers.

The boot disk with programs is a functional and convenient device that will allow you to install various programs and operating systems on your PC. Data recovery and error correction is the main task of the bootable program disk. You will need Nero Burning Rom to burn it.

Instructions

Insert a blank disc to burn into your computer and open the Nero program. In the program menu, select "File", then the "Open" tab. A window for a new project will appear. Select which disc you want to create: DVD or CD. If you selected DVD, then select the DVD-ROM drive, if CD - CD-ROM.

In the column titled "Boot Image Data Source" check the "Image File" tab. By default, the path to the boot disk is specified, i.e. to his image. If you want to use a different boot image for recording, as a knowledgeable user, you must first create it and then specify the path to your own file by selecting the "Browse" tab. If you did everything correctly, click on the "Burn" button, having previously indicated in the burn settings the speed with which you want to burn this disc.

Then an explorer window will open. In this window, select the folders and files that you need to burn your CD. After filling the disk space with programs and files, press the "Burn" button again. In the window that opens for burning the project, by default it is indicated that you have selected a CD-ROM drive. If necessary, specify which drive you want to use. Further, in the lower right corner, click on the "Burn" button, remembering to select the speed at which you want to burn the disc.

When the disc is finished burning, a small window with information will open. After reviewing it, make sure that there are no errors while burning the disc. If there are no complaints, click on the "OK" button. After that, the burn disc window will open, click on the "Done" button. The drive will open automatically to eject the disc.

Your bootable CD has been successfully created. It is ready to use and can be run on any computer that uses the Windows operating system.
