Reasons for the error

Most often, this error occurs when the program for encrypting reports (cryptographic provider) ViPNet CSP stops working at the user's workplace.

Possible reasons for the failure:

1. Updating the operating system to a new version
2. Installing another crypto provider (CryptoPro CSP or SKZI Verba)

If you installed a different encryption provider, uninstall both encryption programs and install one. But standard uninstallation and reinstallation in most cases does not solve the problem, so clean up the registry and other "traces" of the program in the computer.

So, to solve the problem you need:

1. Remove the program completely
2. Reinstall the CIPF program on the computer

You can clean the data manually, but this requires experience with the registry editor, the ability to find all user settings in hidden folders. The easiest way to clean up the registry is using programs.

Complete removal of the CIPF program

Step 1. Protect electronic signatures in the registry from deletion

According to the instructions, we will delete all traces of the ViPNet CSP encryption program, so protect yourself from accidental deletion of valid electronic signatures. To do this, copy them to another folder manually or via ViPNet CSP.

Copying a key manually

1. Open the folder with the electronic signature. By default, electronic signatures are recorded at: C: \ Users \ * Username * \ AppData \ Local \ Infotecs \ Containers.
2. Copy the electronic keys to another folder. The only condition is that the folder should not contain the names "Infotecs" and "Contaiters". Otherwise, Reg Organizer will delete them.

If electronic signatures are stored in another folder, and you do not know where, copy the signatures using standard ViPNet CSP tools.

Copying the ViPNet CSP key

1. Open the VipNet program
2. Open the electronic signature for copying
3. Choose a place to copy the electronic signature
4. Copy the electronic signature

After copying all the keys, go to the next step - downloading the Reg Organizer program.

Step 2. Download Reg Organizer

Find the Reg Organizer program and click the button "Download".

A window with automatic download of the program will open. To start the download, click on the button "Save file".

After downloading the program, install it.

Step 2. Install the program

Run the downloaded distribution package, the Reg Organizer Installation Wizard will open. Click on "Further" to start the installation.

Copying and unpacking the files will begin. Wait for the processes to finish.

Complete the installation with the button "To complete"... Do not uncheck the box "Launch Reg Organizer".

Step 3. Remove ViPNet CSP using Reg Organizer

In the left part of the Reg Organizer window, select "Remove programs".

In chapter "Remove programs" start typing the name of the ViPNet CSP program to filter out unnecessary programs from the list.

Highlight the ViPNet CSP program with the cursor and click the button on the panel "Remove a program".

The system will ask you to select parameters for changing components. Select item Remove All Components and press "Proceed".

Standard uninstallation of the program will start. Click on the button "Delete".

If the removal by the standard mechanism failed, do not worry, this is only a regular removal. Next, the system will forcefully remove all of its components.

After standard uninstallation, Reg Organizer will offer to find traces of the uninstalled program. Click on "Find" to start searching.

Step 4. Clean up the operating system registry using Reg Organizer

To clean the registry, in the left part of the Reg Organizer window, select "Registry Editor".

In the open editor window, find traces of the program in the registry. To do this, enter in the search infotecs and press the button "To start searching".

After completing the data search, click the button "Check all" and "Delete entries".

Wait until the deletion is complete and repeat the same steps with the entry in the search vipnet.

At this stage, records about the ViPNet CSP encryption program have been completely removed from the system. As the final step, restart your computer and you can start installing the ViPNet CSP encryption provider.

Reinstalling the program on a computer

Step 1. Download the ViPNet CSP encryption tool

If you have Windows 10, under "Beta versions" only distribution kit version 4.2 is available.

Step 2. Install the program

Open the downloaded archive and run the installation file. The ViPNet CSP installation wizard will open.

In the next window, click on the button Install Now.

Wait for the installation to complete. Upon completion, the system will offer to complete the installation, click on the button "Close".

Step 3. Restart your computer

After closing the installation window, the system will offer to restart the computer. Reboot your computer.

After restarting the computer, start the ViPNet CSP program from the shortcut on the desktop.

Step 4. Register the program

After restarting the computer, the ViPNet CSP program will offer to register it officially, otherwise it will work in demo mode for 14 days.

If the ViPNet CSP version is 4.2 - item "Launch ViPNet CSP", and then close the program window. And redirect the report to the FIU.

If you have installed ViPNet CSP 4.0 version, select "Register ViPNet CSP" and press "Further".

Everything described below is suitable for both Vipnet Client version 3.2 and version 4.3. The principle is the same.

Depending on the reasons for the transfer and the requirements for it, you can choose one of two ways:

1. "Clean" installation of Vipnet on a new computer, followed by downloading the key distribution kit (* .dst), which was used on the old computer;
2. Installing Vipnet on a new computer, with preliminary copying of configuration files and archive of program letters from the old computer.

The first way how to transfer Vipnet Client to another computer

The first method can be used if there are no complex settings on the site, and the letters saved in VipNet "Business Mail" are not important and do not need to be stored, or when there are no letters at all on the site.

As you understand, this method involves the usual installation of VipNet Client on a new computer. The only thing you need to do is load into the program key distribution (* .dst) of the network node that was used on the old PC... It is best to ask the administrator of the VipNet network to create and give you a new distribution kit, but you can try to use the one that was given to you initially, if it is not outdated.

If you do not know where your distribution kit is (this happens), and the administrator is in no hurry to send you a new one, then go to the second method.

So, the first way to transfer VipNet to another computer:

1. Disconnect the old computer from the local network or completely turn off the Vipnet Client on it. Two identical nodes cannot be simultaneously in the same Vipnet virtual network;
2. Install Vipnet Client on the new computer;
3. Install the key node distribution kit in Vipnet Client? which was used on the old computer;
4. Set the required VipNet Client settings;
5. Now, if everything works, you can remove Vipnet Client from your old PC.

The second way how to transfer Vipnet Client to another computer

The second way to transfer Vipnet Client is suitable if you need to transfer all program settings and emails from your old computer to a new one. It consists in copying the configuration files to a new computer and installing VipNet Client on top of them.

Everything is simple here. You need to copy the folder "% ProgramFiles% \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client" to the same place on a new computer. And then install Vipnet Client of the same or newer version to the same folder.

Important - in the same folder! If on the old computer VipNet was installed in "C: \ Program Files \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client", then it should be installed in "C: \ Program Files \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client". And if the installer suggests “C: \ Program Files (x86) \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client” as the installation path, then you need to fix it with the handles.

The installation procedure, in this case, may look like this:

1. Disable Vipnet Client completely on the old computer;
2. Copy files and folders from the old computer directory "C: \ Program Files \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client" to a USB flash drive;
3. Create a folder "C: \ Program Files \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client" on the new computer, copy the files from the flash drive into it;
4. Start the installation of Vipnet Client, specify the folder "C: \ Program Files \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client" as the path to install the program.
5. Reboot your computer;
6. Make sure everything works. Remove VipNet from your old computer.

Nuances

It is not necessary to copy all files from the "% ProgramFiles% \ InfoTeCS \ ViPNet Client" folder, but this is more convenient. In fact, it is enough to copy only the following files and folders:

• \ d_station (key information);
• \ databases (key information);
• \ Protocol (if you need messaging session protocols);
• \ TaskDir (if files received via file exchange are needed);
• User key folders, usually \ user_AAAA (where AAAA is the hexadecimal ViPNet user identifier). The user keys folder may coincide with the folder where ViPNet Client is installed, then copy the \ key_disk folder.
• \ MS (current archive of "Business Mail" letters);
• \ MSArch (default folder for Business Mail archives);
• autoproc.dat (auto-processing settings);
• wmail.ini (Business Mail settings);
• AP * .TXT files: APAXXXX.TXT, APCXXXX.TXT, APIXXXX.TXT, APLXXXX.TXT, APNXXXX.CRC,
  APNXXXX.CRG, APNXXXX.TXT, APSXXXX.TXT, APUXXXX.TXT (where XXXX is hexadecimal
  network node identifier);
• infotecs.re (license file);
• iplir.cfg, iplirmain.cfg (configuration of filters for open and closed Vipnet Monitor network);
• ipliradr.do $ (configuration of filters of open and closed Vipnet Monitor network);
• linkXXXX.txt, nodeXXXX.tun (where XXXX is the hexadecimal identifier of the network
  node);
• mftp.ini. (MFTP module configuration)

If, nevertheless, you need to install VipNet Client on a new computer in a different folder, in a different path:

It happens that the logical drive C: \ of a new computer may not have enough space for large archives of letters. Then you can copy the archives of letters to another logical drive, and specify the path to them manually. This can be done as follows:

• In the wmail.ini file, specify the path to the mail archive storage as the value of the MSArchDir parameter;

The previous version of the ViPNet program was uninstalled incorrectly

1. Click on Start -> Run (or on your Win + R keyboard)
2. In the window that appears, enter regedit.exe and click on OK
3. Open folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ InfoTecs \ Setup \ Products
   1. If it contains a folder Infotecs-Client, rename it to -Infotecs-Client(put first -)
4. Open folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Wow6432Node \ InfoTecs \ Setup \ Products(if there is)

5. Install ViPNet

Insufficient space on drive C

The C: drive must have at least 10 GB of free space. Delete (transfer) unnecessary files from this disk and beyond. Install ViPNet in the updater.

Disabled Windows Firewall service

In this case, in the log C: \ ProgramData \ InfoTeCS \ InstallerData \ ViPNet Client \ Logs \ Setup.msi_XXX you can see a line like

Failed to start service MpsSvc. Error code = 1058, (0x422) - The specified service could not be started because it is disabled or all associated devices are disabled.

1. Open Start -> Control Panel -> (check that the top-right view is "Small icons" or "Large icons") -> Administrative Tools
2. Run Services
3. Find the Windows Firewall service. Double click on it in properties.
4. In the Properties window, make sure the Startup Type is other than Disabled. If "Disabled" is selected, select the "Automatic" option and click on OK.
5. Try reinstalling ViPNet

Problems with antivirus software

Turn off the antivirus completely and try to install ViPNet again, you may need to uninstall the antivirus.

Missing OS updates

Works only on licensed Windows!

Install all the latest OS updates

Problems with installing the ViPNet driver (something, most likely a driver, is blocking changes to one registry branch)

ViPNet must be installed in safe mode with network drivers loaded (solution for Windows 7):

1. Reboot and at the beginning of the download press F8 many times
2. Select download option Safe mode with loading network drivers
3. Boot to Desktop, Ignore Secret Net Errors
4. Start Registry Editor: Start - Run, specify regedit.exe and click OK
5. Find the branch on the left in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ SafeBoot \ Network
6. In this branch, create a section ("folder") with the name MSIServer(the path should be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ SafeBoot \ Network \ MSIServer)
7. Open this section. On the right, double click on " (Default)"
8. Enter value service and click on OK.
9. Run Start - Run everything, indicate services.msc and click on OK
10. Locate the Windows Installer service, right click and start it.
