LG Optimus L5 is the best option. LG l5: characteristics and reviews. LG Optimus L5 E612: specifications, photos and description of the phone Lg optimus l5 how much it costs

LG Optimus L5 is one of the representatives of the L-Style line. This gadget took place exactly in the middle between the budget version of the LG Optimus L3 and the more expensive Optimus L7. Therefore, we can say that this particular model will win the hearts of more people, because it harmoniously combines stylish and laconic design, as well as excellent performance.

Design

The gadget is fully consistent with its lineup and therefore looks stylish and strict. High-quality plastic was used as a material for the smartphone body. The front panel contains safety glass protecting the device from scratches and damage. Below, on the front, there are standard buttons: "back", "home" and "menu". The place above the display is occupied by a speaker protected by an internal mesh. The headphone input and power button can be found on the top edge. And the bottom end is occupied by a microUSB connector and a microphone. The left side has "sheltered" the volume rocker, but the right side has remained absolutely clean. Camera, flash and two audio speaker located on the rear panel. Removing the back cover you can find battery, under which there is a slot for a SIM card. In general, the assembled LG Optimus L5 is very high quality and reliable. No crackles, defects or backlash were found. In the hand, the smartphone is comfortable and pleasant, and due to the smaller display diagonal compared to the L7, it is also very comfortable to operate it. The gadget is presented in traditional colors - black and white.

Display

LG Optimus L5 has a display with a diagonal of four inches, TFT-matrix and a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels. Therefore, the user will still see some graininess, but even with such characteristics, the screen shows a good picture. The device has wide viewing angles and very high brightness, which allows you to use the gadget on a sunny day. Gorilla Glass acts as a protective barrier against various kinds of scratches and damages.

Performance

The hardware part is fully consistent with budget smartphones. Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A acts as an "iron heart" and boasts neither clock frequency nor number of cores given processor absolutely cannot: one core and 0.8 GHz. The RAM is also not a lot - 512 MB, the built-in memory is also not much - 4 GB. However, the user can increase this volume using memory cards. If we translate all these numbers into ordinary speech, then we can safely say that this gadget is definitely not suitable for modern games and videos on the Internet, but these characteristics are enough for solving work tasks, listening to music and ordinary surfing the Internet. For an undemanding user, this is quite enough.

Camera

5 megapixels, autofocus and LED flash are the only features of the LG Optimus L5. Despite such a small set, the camera still allows you to take pretty good pictures, which are distinguished by excellent detail. If you look at the pictures not on the phone screen, but on the computer, then the pictures look even brighter and more contrasting. As for the camera in this smartphone, that is, two minuses: no front camera and a hardware key that allows you to call the camera.

Autonomous work

The gadget is removable Li-Ion battery volume of 1540 mAh. This is enough for the smartphone to last for two days without recharging with moderate use. In talk mode, the LG Optimus L5 will run for about ten hours, and if you leave it on somewhere on the shelf and not use it at all, then the charge will last for a whole month.

Outcome

In general, the smartphone came out well. It does not have any frills and bells and whistles. It is simple and easy to use and does an excellent job with the basic functions of any phone. This model ideal for those who are just getting to know the world touch phones or for those who do not care about powerful and modern functionality.

The emphasis on design and timeless allegories to the world of fashion is generally one of the key points in LG's strategy. There are some unsuccessful, faceless products in the company's history, but the L5 cannot be attributed to them. The elegant monoblock of medium size is graceful and strict: the sharp forms of the bezel are successfully combined with smooth edges of the edges and rounded edges of the "back". The colors also match the shapes - a silvery plastic outline surrounds the protective screen of the front panel and the back of the case is covered with a plastic “boat” of the back cover with corrugated carbon or even snakeskin (you never know what LG designers meant). You can't do without a hackneyed phrase: the smartphone lies well in the hand, both when talking and when working with the menu, it does not slip out, and it is easy to reach any corner of the screen and any button without touching the device in the palm of your hand.

Above the display, we can see a horizontal deepening of the earpiece, inside which hides protective mesh... Under the screen is a mechanical Home key surrounded by touch counterparts Back and Menu. As in the rest of the devices on the 4th Android, the order of the buttons is inverted in relation to what was generally accepted in the era of "cookies", which at first introduces confusion and forces you to retrain - not for long, a couple of days.

This smartphone was announced at Mobile World Congress in February. He, like other representatives of the L-Style line of smartphones, has an original design that attracts attention.

The Optimus L5 smartphone belongs to the mid-price segment of the mobile phone market.

The body is made of plastic and metal, and their combination is just perfect, so the smartphone has a modern, elegant and non-standard appearance.

The assembly from LG is excellent: there are no creaks and backlashes during operation.

On the front side there is touch screen with control keys, and on the back - a camera. In general, nothing unusual in this regard.

It can be noted that the device is quite ergonomic, and the material from which the smartphone is made is very pleasant to the touch.

Size - 118.3x66.5x9.9 mm.

Processor and OS

The smartphone is powered by a processor with clock frequency 800 MHz, which is very small nowadays. But, considering that the device has 1 GB of RAM, then the performance should not be low.

This is confirmed by the operating system on which the smartphone operates, Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is very resource-demanding. But, when getting acquainted with the work of the smartphone, no significant "freezes and thoughts" were noticed. That is, the processor does a pretty good job with this operating system.

Memory

As we already mentioned, the smartphone has 1 GB of RAM. The built-in flash memory available to users in the LG Optimus L5 is also 1 GB, but it can be expanded with cards microSD memory(the maximum size is 32 GB).

Screen

The device is equipped with a 4-inch TFT display. Unfortunately, it's worth noting that the screen resolution is very low for modern smartphones- only 320x480 pixels. Therefore, the image on the screen does not make much of an impression.

Camera

The LG Optimus L5 has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus. Maximum resolution pictures that the camera allows, 2560x1920 pixels.

According to some Western media outlets, the camera can shoot HD video.

The smartphone also has a VGA camera for video communication.

Multimedia capabilities

The smartphone comes with a preinstalled audio player that supports major audio recording formats. There is also a video player that works with formats: MPEG-4, H.263 and H.264.

Communication capabilities

There is support for basic communication standards, including for Internet access - GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.

There is a built-in html browser and an e-mail client.

Battery

The smartphone has a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, but with a processor clocked at only 800 MHz, the "battery" should last for a long time.

Price

The price of the smartphone LG Optimus L5 has not yet been announced, apparently it will be done closer to the release, which should take place in April. Now we can only assume that if the device belongs to the mainstream segment, then it will cost about 15,000 rubles.

LG Optimus L5 smartphone video review:

Probably the most competitive segment of the smartphone market today is the segment in which the devices operating under the control of the operating room are located. Android systems... One of such devices is which will be disassembled in this article in different sections.

The competition, which was mentioned, does not allow many models to stand out absolutely advantageously among competitors only at the expense of technical characteristics... That is why the rate in recent times is done not so much for the equipment as for the original, comfortable and practical design and, of course, the price of the device.

LG also began to adhere to this concept. Its employees decided that the key that will allow them to succeed in the market will be precisely the attractive look of the LG L5 smartphone, the characteristics of which will be given below. The result of the work of the company's engineers was a line called “L-Style”. It includes three devices: Optimus L3, Optimus L7 and LG L5. Its characteristics have been improved in comparison with the younger device, and, in fact, this article will be discussed.

Dimensions (edit)

The size in all 3 planes is as follows: in height it is 118.3 mm, in width - 66.5 mm, and in thickness - 9.5 mm. In this case, the weight of the device is 123 grams.

A look at the edges

On the front side there is telephone conversation it will react to the position of the device in relation to the speaker's head to automatically turn on and off the display backlight. In the same place, on the front panel, there is the company logo, the main speaker, and also having a diagonal of 4 inches. It should be noted that the screen has a very good resolution for such a diagonal of the LG L5. The characteristics of the display will be analyzed in more detail later, but for now we will be evaluating the design of the smartphone.

The front panel also includes standard Android keys. These are “Menu” and “Back”, which are made in the form of touch buttons, as well as “Home” (physical type).

The left side contains the volume keys. There are no keys or inputs on the opposite panel.

As usual, on the top there is a jack for a 3.5 mm wired headset, and on the bottom there is an input for charging the device. In our case, this is MicroUSB. It can also be used to connect the device to a personal computer.

If you pay attention to the back edge, you can find a camera there. Its resolution is 5 megapixels. It also features auto focus and LED flash. The camera LG Optimus L5 E612, the characteristics of which are estimated at an average score, we will also talk below.

There is another speaker on the back. Its construction is a bit non-standard: it is divided by a kind of bridge. It ensures that the apparatus is pressed to the surface. And this, in turn, allows the sound not to linger and not be reflected, but calmly pass.

With force, you can remove the back cover. Beneath it is a slot for a flash drive, a SIM card slot, and a battery. When pressing the touch keys, the user of the device will not feel vibration, because in fact it is absent. And this is perhaps the first drawback of the LG Optimus L5 E612 smartphone. The characteristics indicate that the vibration feedback of the keys in this model is inactive. And users often note that it would clearly not hurt.

It is rather difficult to judge the appearance of the device. He may be liked by some people and at the same time not liked by others. It will not be possible to please everyone, therefore, in the case of this model, we can only talk about the relativity of the design. But nevertheless, many note that, although the smartphone has a rather strict appearance, it does not look budget-friendly through and through.

Build quality

The device is designed with sufficient quality. It is impossible to notice any backlash or any creaks in it. Its back cover has a textured surface, which prevents the smartphone from slipping out. In addition, the texture allows you to hide rubbing and scratches. The only thing that can alert users is the plastic edging of the LG Optimus L5. The characteristics of this material indicate that the edging can peel off during many months of operation.

LG L5 Dual: display specifications

The first acquaintance can please the user this phone... Indeed, the screen is not that small, and the color rendition seems to be on high level... However, impressions are quickly forgotten during the operation of the model. Time passes, and they are replaced by a constant account of the shortcomings of the apparatus.

First of all, such disadvantages of the screen can be attributed to the relatively low density of dots, which fall on one inch. It is only 144. You can get used to this. But you will never be able to put up with the viewing angles, which, in fact, are simply disgusting.

This will not be a problem for the average user of the LG Optimus L5. The characteristics indicate that viewing angles that introduce aberrations in images are not noticeable when performing a standard set of tasks. However, this will show up very clearly when playing on the phone. You can forget about normal play in applications in which you need to tilt the device. The picture will simply fade. But the responsiveness of the screen can really please people who have purchased this phone model. The display accepts up to 5 simultaneous touches.

Camera

The device was not expected good quality pictures. However, even in this he managed to surprise the users of the LG L5 E612. The spec indicates only 5 megapixels, but the photos do look sharp enough. With sufficient lighting, of course. In general, here the ratio “price - quality” was unambiguously maintained.

In the case of video, things are a little worse. The resolution will be only 640 by 480 pixels (this is the maximum). If it were not for the problems in management, then, in principle, such a defect could be forgotten.

Nutrition

It's no secret that many Android devices cannot run all day without recharging when not in use. third party programs... And they, in fact, briefly extend the battery life. But LG Optimus 5 coped with this problem.

It has a 1540 mAh battery. If you believe the words of the manufacturers, the operating time can be almost 10 hours. This is about continuous conversation. In standby mode, the device will be able to stay “one click to connect” up to 900 hours.

Many experts who tested the smartphone noted that the numbers are actually being confirmed. If you turn on all modules on the machine wireless, put the screen on maximum backlight and start continuously playing video, then the device can hold out for 9.5 hours.

Ordinary users will be able to squeeze two days of work out of the model without recharging. In this case, you can exchange text messages and make phone calls with medium intensity.

LG Optimus L5 Dual: specifications and conclusion

Well, in terms of design, the device gets a solid four. The same assessment is received by the characteristics of autonomous work. If you go through the technical equipment, you can put a solid three, and the camera also deserves four points on a five-point scale.

Positioning

LG Electronics has started selling the Optimus L5 (E610) smartphone, which is an intermediate solution between the budget Optimus L3 and the relatively expensive Optimus L7. Unlike the older model, the L5 has a display with a smaller diagonal, lower resolution, a simple TFT matrix and a weaker processor.

V price category up to 9000 rubles, the device boasts a fresh OS Android 4.0.3. However, with the release of Jelly Bean, the version of Ice Cream Sandwich begins to slowly lose its relevance, since Android 4.1 brings the "operating system" from Google to new level... The rest of the parameters of the smartphone are rather boring: 512 MB of RAM, 5 MP camera with the ability to record 0.3 MP videos and 4 GB of Flash memory.

On the one hand, it turns out to be quite an attractive gadget, on the other hand, it upsets the little things that could be eliminated, and then, from my point of view, LG Optimus L5 would become a hit. What little things in question, you will learn from this review.

Design, dimensions, controls

Despite the fact that LG Optimus L7 and L5 look very similar to each other, they still managed to find differences in design. First, L5 has sharp corners, while L7 has slightly rounded corners. Secondly, the P705 is slightly thinner (8.7 mm versus 9.5 for the E610). Thirdly, the back cover of the older model almost completely covers the right and left sides, in addition, it has a different texture: in L7 it is longitudinal flat, and in L5 it is in the form of rhombuses. It looks more impressive on the E610, but the back of the Optimus L7 is better felt in the hand. The LG L3 has a slightly more prominent rear panel than the LG L5.

Like the entire L-style line, the device is made entirely of plastic. The black version is still available on sale, and the white version will be on sale soon. In both the first and second cases, the front and rear panels are painted in the corresponding colors. In my opinion, LG Optimus L5 looks more spectacular and elegant in "light" mode. At least there are fewer fingerprints on it.

The device is assembled very well, there is nothing to complain about: there is no vertical or horizontal backlashes, the lid does not bend to the battery, does not crunch or creak when squeezed.

The dimensions of the LG E610 are as follows - 118.3x66.5x9.5 mm, weight - 125 grams; LG E400 - 102.6x61.6x11.9 mm, weight - 110 grams; LG P705 - 125.5x67x8.7 mm, weight - 122 grams; Prada by LG 3.0 - 127.5x69x8.5 mm, weight - 138 grams. By the way, the new product used an interesting technology called "Floating Mass Technology" - this is the optical effect of perception of a smaller thickness than it actually is. Due to its small size and weight, the LG L5 fits perfectly in the hand, it is a little more comfortable to operate than the LG L7 due to the use of a smaller display diagonal. The phone fits in jeans or pants pockets, but be prepared for the angular L5 shapes likely to make themselves felt when you bend over or sit down. Best worn in a jacket or top shirt pocket.

The screen is easily soiled, prints quickly cover the surface, although they are erased relatively easily and quickly. The display is not protected by Gorilla Glass, as was the case with the Optimus P705.

There is a proximity sensor on the front panel. Reacts quickly and clearly. There is no light sensor in the device. The earpiece is located nearby. Its volume is slightly above average (it was louder in the L7), the interlocutor is heard clearly, the timbre is pleasant, but the low frequencies are slightly less than in the loudspeaker of the LG Optimus P705.

A mechanical Home button recessed into the body is located under the screen. Its dimensions are 14x5 mm, the shape is rectangular with smooth edges. The stroke is minimal, pressing is firm. To the left of Home is the Touch Back, and to the right is Menu. Since I have been using the L7 for a long time, this arrangement of buttons did not raise any questions for me.

At the bottom there is a microUSB and a microphone, on the top there is a standard 3.5 mm jack for connecting headphones and an on / off button (practically recessed into the body). On the right there are no elements, and on the left is the volume rocker: thin and long, slightly rising above the body, and it is almost impossible to find it with your finger.

Speaker speakerphone located on the back side, there is also a camera module and a flash. To remove the back cover, pry it off by the tab on the upper end. You will find a slot for a memory card on the left (hot swap is supported), a slot for a SIM-card is above the battery (but you still have to remove it).

LG Optimus L5 and Samsung Galaxy ace 2

Display

Smartphone LG Optimus L5 equipped with relatively large display- 4 inches (physical size - 84x56) for the price category of smartphones up to 9,000 rubles. However, the resolution was left at the level of budget devices - 320x480 pixels (density - 144 pixels per inch). And this is the first observation. The second is the low quality of the matrix: it would be forgivable for some phone model from Fly, but not for a large vendor. The viewing angles are small: for example, when the screen is tilted towards itself, the colors are strongly inverted, the contrast decreases from itself, and when you turn it to the right or to the left, the image acquires a purple tint and the brightness decreases slightly. Even on the Chinese Highscreen Yummy Duo, the quality is better.

The matrix is made using TFT-LCD technology, capable of displaying 16 million color shades. The sensor, of course, of a capacitive type, works out up to 5 simultaneous touches. The sensitivity is slightly above average, i.e. on the L7 is still better.

The brightness is high, and at daylight it is quite enough for comfortable reading from the screen. But in the sun it still fades, and quite strongly.

In general, the screen quality of the LG Optimus E610 was disappointing, especially after the gorgeous IPS-matrix in the LG Optimus P705. The lack of a light sensor also did not play into the hands of the phone.

In the Display settings, auto-rotate is enabled or disabled, the font size is set (normal or large), the key backlighting is enabled or disabled, and the time until the screen turns off is adjusted (from 15 seconds to 10 minutes).

Battery

The LG L5 uses a removable 1500mAh, 3.8V, 6.5W Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery. If we compare the operating time of the L7 and L5, then the latter holds a charge a little longer, possibly due to the lower resolution and poor quality of the display matrix, as well as the use of a less powerful processor.

The promised battery life is up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 900 hours (just over a month) in standby mode. Partially in practice, these data were confirmed:

Communication capabilities

Smartphone works in GSM networks 850/900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 900/2100. HSDPA speed - 7.2 Mbps (in LG Optimus L7 - up to 21 Mbps), HSUPA - 5.76 Mbps, EDGE - 236 Kbps, GPRS 32-48 Kbps. In the section "Settings cellular network"There are several items: data transfer, data roaming, network mode (automatic switching between GSM / WCDMA, only WCDMA or GSM), access point," only 2G networks "and the choice of carriers (automatically or manually).

There is Bluetooth version 3.0 with A2DP, and the Wi-Fi module (802.11 a / b / g / n) supports Wi-Fi Direct. The phone can be used as a hotspot (Wi-Fi hotspot). The Wi-Fi sensitivity did not cause any complaints: even in difficult conditions it shows 1-2 divisions.

There is USB version 2.0 for data transfer and synchronization. When connected to a PC, a menu appears on the smartphone screen with a choice of actions:

Memory and memory card

The LG Optimus L5 has 512 MB of RAM, with about 160 MB available. Note that the Optimus L7 had about 110 MB of this memory. Unfortunately, LG E610 behaves in exactly the same way as the older model: it seems that there is not enough RAM, although in fact (judging by the application manager) it should be quite enough. For example, when switching from one application to another, the device may think for 2-3 seconds. It doesn’t happen often, but this is exactly what happens when Skype is running. In this case, there is only one advice - unload applications from the "RAM" more often.

4 GB of Flash memory is allocated for installing applications, but only about 2.6 GB is free. So, you will have to buy a memory card (maximum size - 32 GB).

Camera

Oddly enough, the Optimus E610 uses exactly the same camera module (5 MP with autofocus) as the Optimus P705. There is a flash, but no front camera. It seems to me that this is small, but a minus in LG's karma, since now more and more people are starting to use video chats, especially on devices in the middle price range.

The maximum size for photos is 2560x1920 pixels, for videos - 640x480 pixels. Interestingly, the low video resolution here can be fully justified by the low price of the gadget, which cannot be said about the LG P705, which writes videos in the same quality.

In general, the pictures are very good: good detail, correct white balance, more or less normal dynamic range... I was also pleased with the minimum focusing distance - 20-30 mm.

There is no separate button for activating the camera, so it is launched through a shortcut in the menu or from the "Lock Screen". To focus on the focus, you need to touch the screen ("touch focus") or immediately press the touch button of the shutter - automatic focusing will take place.

Performance

LG has installed the Qulacomm MSM7225 chipset with the "a" index in the Optimus L5. This means that a single-core ARMv7 Cortex-A5 processor is installed here (http://www.arm.com/products/processors/cortex-a/cortex-a5.php), operating at a clock frequency of 800 MHz (minimum - 320 MHz ). In this case, the DPS is Hexagon QDSP5 at 350 MHz, the Adreno 200 video accelerator, and the technical process is 45 nm. Let me remind you that the LG Optimus L3 uses the MSM7225a chipset, while the LG Optimus L7 uses the Qulacomm MSM7227a (1 GHz). The difference is that the MSM7225a runs on processors ranging from 600 MHz to 800 MHz, while the MSM7227a runs from 800 MHz to 1000 MHz.

All these models use the graphics accelerator Adreno 200. Interestingly, it is able to pull toys like "ShadowGun" - this surprised me personally. However, despite quite good performance, in general, the smartphone behaves leisurely: it runs some applications for a long time, slowly unloads programs from memory, sometimes the interface jams. One gets the impression that the incompletely optimized shell is to blame for this, since the LG P705 has the same problems.

By the way, a new firmware was released for the latter, but it did not affect the speed of the device in any way.

Brief Technical information :

Antutu Benchmark

Navigation

The smartphone has a GPS navigator. Its functionality is the same as in most budget phones. "Cold" start - about seven minutes, "hot" - up to 10-15 seconds. Due to the fact that "gpsONE Gen 7" is installed here, there is no GLONASS.

Software platform

The test sample runs on an operating system Google android 4.0.3, and this is a significant plus, since so far most devices have not received ICS.

Shell and menu

The design is the proprietary shell Optimus UI version 3.0.

To activate the backlight, you must press the power key of the phone or "Home". The "lock screen" contains information about the time, date and network. They are represented by branded widgets. To configure them, you need to go to the "Screen lock" section. He contains:

To unlock, you need to slide your finger across the screen. This function is implemented in a very original way: as you move your finger in the circle, the "Main desktop" appears smoothly.

The "main desktop" is represented by widgets and shortcuts. To configure it, you need to click on the "Menu" and select the appropriate item containing:

  • Animation (show animation or not)
  • On-screen effects (main, breeze, accordion, panorama, carousel, jenga, dominoes)
  • Swipe wallpaper (will the wallpaper scroll when swiping)
  • Scrolling screens (show first desktop after last)

Top dropdown panel contains shortcuts quick launch Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS or whatever you configure by clicking on the "Edit" button. The same panel contains a button for launching settings and various notifications. They can be removed by swiping over them or clicking the cross at the top right.

The “four” of shortcuts can be replaced by other elements (the “Menu” cannot be removed). To see all the desktops (there are 5 of them), you need to pinch your fingers to the center of the screen.

V new firmware appeared the application "Quick Memo" - quick notes on the smartphone screen. She also knows how to take screenshots. Located in the notification bar at the top left.

If you don't like the skin, you can always install any other, but you cannot switch to the "bare" ICS skin.

Challenges

The dialer is large and handy. When you enter the first digits, a list of subscribers with matching numbers opens. When you call, a huge full-screen contact's avatar is displayed on the screen and, unfortunately, the quality of displaying pictures is low. In order for it to be high, it is necessary to re-set the photographs of the subscribers.

Also, during a call, the following buttons are displayed: "turn on the speakerphone", "contacts", "call the dialer", "turn on / off Bluetooth" and "mute". The call log displays a list of incoming and outgoing calls.

Contacts are presented in alphabetical order. On the right, you can select the letter with which the last name or the first name of the subscriber begins. To create a new contact, you must click on the "plus" at the top of the screen. For each contact, the following information is entered:

  • Avatar
  • Telephone
  • Email
  • Group
  • Mailing address
  • Organization and more

Posts

For typing, a proprietary LG keyboard is used, similar to the "iPhone". The symbols are large, well separated from each other. It is very convenient to type. The language is switched by pressing the RU / EN button. The view can be landscape or portrait. In the text input window, the number of characters remaining is displayed at the top. Long holding of the 123 button will launch the keyboard settings.

For those who have vision problems, I advise you to switch the font size in the "Display" to "Large". A really handy feature.

I repeat once again that those who are looking for a smartphone with a large font (in SMS, menus and settings) - I advise you to take a closer look at the LG Optimus L5 or L7. In the latter, the font size is even larger.

Applications

I see no reason to re-enumerate all the programs. If you wish, read the previous reviews of LG smartphones. There is standard software from Google and LG. Below are screenshots.

Web browser

A proprietary web browser is used. Nice and functional enough. There is an original function to enlarge the image: you need to hold down the "+" button (located in the center from the bottom) and tilt the phone down or lift it up. Despite the fact that the device operates on an AMRv7 processor, for a reason unknown to me, there was no Flash. I tried installing other web browsers, installing a "flash" player - it didn't help. Most likely, the test sample is to blame, as everything works fine on both the LG Optimus P705 and the LG Optimus E400.

In the player, you can organize your songs by artist, album, song and folder. When playing music, the screen displays: a huge album cover, artist name and album name, below - the player control buttons. In the settings: search, add to favorites, SmartShare, add to playlist, delete, share (note, Bluetooth, Gmail, Skype, SMS / MMS), set as ringtone, information and settings.

Settings:

  • Show notifications (on, off)
  • Sleep timer (off, after 10, 20, 30 minutes, 1 or 2 hours)
  • Equalizer (off, bass cut, treble boost, bass boost, vocal boost, headphone boost)

I do not recommend using a standard music player: it does not give out very well high quality sound... I installed one of the most popular ones - PowerAMP. With him and tested the musical capabilities of the LG Optimus L5.

Headphone volume is high. Low and high frequencies are well worked out, the middle ones, as it seemed to me, are slightly overwhelmed.

The speaker volume is slightly above average.

Default Supported Music Formats: MP3, AAC, AAC +, AMR, MP3, MIDI, WAV, WMA

FM radio

Operates in the FM range: 87.5 - 108 MHz. The screen displays the frequency scale, settings, 6 cells for storing the most interesting stations, switching the sound to the speaker and off. The headphone volume is slightly above average, the receiver sensitivity is good.

Video player

Everything I said in my review of the LG Optimus L3 and L7 is generally true for the L5 as well. In short, then standard player loses AVI formats, MP4 and 3GP recorded with DivX, H263, H264 and MPEG-4 codecs.

When installing, for example, MX Video Player, the list of supported formats and codecs expands. The maximum resolution should not exceed 1280x720 pixels (this is a “check mark” resolution - hardly anyone will be watching the slideshow). Regular DVDRip runs without problems.

Conclusion

The call quality is good, on a par with any other LG smartphone. The vibrating alert is quite noticeable in the pockets of outerwear.

After the L3 / L5 / L7 tests, I can say that the entire “L” line came out with some “roughness”. For example, take the LG Optimus L3: convenient, fast and cute, but the screen resolution is 240x320 pixels. Smartphone Optimus L7 - everything seems to be fine, but it writes videos in a resolution of 0.3 MP, and the processor is not used the "fastest". The story is similar with the Optimus L5: with a sufficiently large diagonal, the quality of the matrix and the resolution are low, and besides, there is no front camera.

Fly IQ255 (Dual SIM, 4-inch screen with a resolution of 320x480, 512 MB of RAM, 1 GHz processor, 3G and a ridiculous price - 6 490 rubles).

  • Low display resolution
  • Low quality screen matrices
