How to get rid of intrusive avast. Complete removal of Avast! special programs. Removal using third-party programs

At the moment, the choice of antivirus software is so wide that you can get confused in choosing it. Every day there are new programs that, according to their developers, are able to protect your computer from literally any malicious file. However, the main audience still prefers to use time-tested antiviruses from well-known manufacturers. But even they sometimes malfunction. For example, several months ago Avast! In fact, the problem was eliminated in a matter of hours, it was fixed with the help of another update, so there was no point in completely demolishing the system, for a start it was necessary to simply or remove the antivirus itself. You will learn exactly how to do this in this article. Windows 7 is used as an example.

The first way

In order to remove Avast antivirus from your computer, you can use one of two methods. Which one is more suitable for you personally, I do not know, but the first one is much simpler and more convenient. Let's start with him.

Almost all known antiviruses are built into the system in such a way that it would be impossible to disable them or remove them by any virus. It is also not easy for the user to do this - it is necessary to make a lot of unnecessary movements. In order to avoid wasting time, manufacturers have come up with special utilities that can easily remove their own products from the computer. In the case of Avast! such a utility is aswClear, a small program that can be downloaded from the official website (avast.com/uninstall-utility). It is better not to download it from other resources, since the site may turn out to be fraudulent and will require you to send an SMS to short number, which will entail the withdrawal of funds from the personal account of your mobile phone.

After the utility is downloaded to your computer, you need to save it to an accessible location. For example, create a folder on your desktop and place it inside.

The next step is to boot the system into safe mode... In details this process I already described it earlier, but let me remind you that for this you need to press the F8 key when the system boots. If it comes on a laptop, the safe mode can be invoked with other keys. Which ones, you can find on the page.

Once Safe Mode has loaded, you can find aswClear on your desktop and run it.

The utility is extremely easy to use and you shouldn't have any problems with it. At the top, you need to select the product you want to remove (you can even specify the path to the folder with the antivirus). As a rule, the system automatically finds it, so you do not need to select anything. On the right side is the Uninstall button, which must be clicked once.

After a few seconds or minutes (depending on the configuration of your PC), the uninstallation will be completed, and the utility will notify you about this by writing the Program was successfully removed line.

After that, feel free to close aswClear by clicking on the cross in right side windows and restart your computer normally. Nothing else is required of you.

ATTENTION! The program works exclusively in safe mode!

Second way

This method is designed for people who love hardcore or simply do not have the opportunity to download the utility, which I wrote about just above. In this case, you will have to work with your hands, although there is nothing complicated here even for an entry-level user. Next, I will describe the process itself and show some screenshots to make it easier for you.

At the bottom right of your screen is the taskbar. On it you can see the Avasta badge. Double-click on it with the left mouse button and the antivirus panel will open in front of you. In this case, screenshots will be used from the eighth version of the antivirus, but there are no differences from the 7th or 6th version.

Go to the section "Settings" - "Troubleshooting" - "Enable the module self-defense Avast". Uncheck this item and click on the OK button.

Find your antivirus here, hover your mouse over it, right-click and select "Uninstall".

After rebooting, go to the Program Files folder and delete the Avast folder from there (sometimes it is called AVAST Software).

Now the hardest part - we will have to get rid of those that were not removed along with Avast !. If you do not do this, then you will not be able to install any other antivirus on your computer - the system simply will not let you do this. Therefore, we need to open the registry editor ("Start" - "Search for files and programs" - Regedit).

An editor has opened in front of you. Press CTRL + F key combination, the search form will come out. Type the word avast into it and click "Find". All found folders with this word must be deleted. If they are not deleted, then you will have to go into safe mode again and do it already there.

Hard? Therefore, to remove entries from the registry, I recommend using, which in two clicks will remove all unnecessary "tails".

Antivirus software- the basis of the security of any device, be it a laptop, smartphone, tablet or stationary PC. But, like any other programs, antiviruses periodically fail, or simply cease to meet the user's requirements. And in this case, you have to resort to extreme measures, removing the software that has lost its relevance in order to reinstall the program or replace it with another one. But, this is not easy at all. And the reason is in the increased level of security that some types of antivirus software have - in particular, Avast! Would you like to know how to remove avast from a laptop completely? Let's consider all the options for uninstalling this program in more detail.

Removing avast from the device using special programs

If you remove avast according to the usual scheme - it does not work through the PC software control system, that is, alternative actions. Antivirus software has its own protection, which does not allow uninstalling it by default. Avast has for this proprietary utility aswclear, which can be downloaded from the official website of the developers or from the app stores for free.

To remove Avast! from a device running operating system Windows, you will need the uninstaller itself, saved on the desktop, and the computer running in safe mode (by default, to activate it when the OS boots, you need to press the F8 key). After making sure that safe mode is activated, you can start running the aswclear program. And, in the window that opens, select the software that needs to be removed. After that, by pressing the "uninstall" button, you can start the process of uninstalling the antivirus.

Removing Avast! manually

If the way of using the uninstaller seems too complicated for you, you can remove avast from laptop on Windows in-house. However, the removal process in this case will not be easy either. To begin with, you will need to make certain changes in the settings of the antivirus program. In particular, in the "Troubleshooting" section, you will need to deactivate the module that protects the antivirus from third-party interventions. And only after making sure that self-defense is disabled, you can proceed to standard procedure deletion.

After the selected program has been deleted (in standard menu"Programs and Features"), your laptop will need a system restart. And upon its completion, you will need to continue uninstalling, deleting the residual files of Avast! from system storages. To do this, you need to enter the program and system search menu and enter Regedit in the line to switch to the registry editing mode. Next, in the "Edit" menu, you need to enter the search parameter - avast and delete the found files and folders with this title. And in order to finally remove avast you will have to check the Program Files section. Found a folder with the name of your antivirus? Remove it and you can be sure - now the uninstallation has been completed in full.

Remove Avast! from a laptop or other device running the Android operating system, you can also either use special utility or manually. You will not be able to immediately remove Avast even if you have Avast! Anti-Thief - to uninstall it, you will have to additionally install Avast! Mobile, since only here there is a settings menu that allows you to delete device administrators. Otherwise, everything is simple - uncheck the "self-defense" checkbox and delete the application as usual.

Many antiviruses protect themselves and their files from being deleted - otherwise they would be vulnerable to viruses. Avast is no exception.

We have written about this antivirus in, noting its various advantages. However, it also has a drawback - it is not so easy to remove it.

Avast antivirus protection features

  • By default, Avast antivirus software is automatically protected from uninstallation. Disabling this protection solves the problem. How to do this will be described in our first method. uninstall Avast.
  • If you try to uninstall Avast “incorrectly”, several entries with its parameters will surely remain in the registry, which will make it impossible to install another antivirus program until the registry is cleared of mentioning Avast antivirus software, and manually removing the remnants of Avast will not be easy. To clean the registry, it is convenient to use quite simple program CCleaner, which removes all unnecessary registry entries. In addition, Avast can be completely uninstalled directly using this program, which will be discussed in the second method.
  • The question of how to disable Avast is also not the easiest one because the standard package of this program does not provide for the possibility of uninstalling it, since it does not contain a file like uninstall.exe. But on the Internet, you can separately download the avast uninstaller utility, reboot your computer or laptop in safe mode, run the utility and follow the instructions to complete the complete uninstallation. This method will also be discussed in more detail below.

Why uninstall Avast correctly?

Firstly, if you want to replace the "crooked" working Avast with a normally functioning version.

Secondly, if you want to install another antivirus program instead of it (the presence of two or more different antivirus programs on one computer at the same time may lead to a software conflict).

Third, your Avast may run out of license.

You can also turn off Avast antivirus using a special utility. We go to the "Start" menu, there we open the "Control Panel", in it we select "Uninstall Programs".

Opens standard Windows utility to remove programs. It is very easy to use and easy to understand. This is what we need.

Close the "Remove Programs" utility, open the CCleaner that we already love, and clean the registry. In the left side menu, select "Registry", at the bottom we press the "Search for problems" button. We wait. Click "Fix".
