The main reason for this is the clog of the laptop operating system different unnecessary files or "remnants" wrong remote programs. In addition, you should not forget about viruses and their "tribesmen" in the form of spyware, worms and so on.

The problem can be solved using special program To clean the registry, however, if it did not help, yet better decision The question will reinstall the system. In our article, we will tell you that it is a step-by-step reinstalling Windows 7 on a laptop or computer, and we will briefly describe its main stages.

Should not be surprised if you have to search and install everything required drivers After you decide to reinstall Windows 7 on your laptop. After all, they will most likely not be on the installation disk. Therefore, in order for your laptop Acer. or asus, or any other fully functioned, you have to manually set the missing drivers (to sound card, graphic editor, motherboard, etc.).

And if you decide to install a "seven" on your laptop, be prepared for this version Windows Consumes much more resources than, for example, XP. That is, if earlier the laptop worked under XP, then before installing the seven should be compared system requirements This version of the operating system and the resources with which your laptop has.

Run the Windows 7 reinstall from under the laptop operating system

Now let's talk specifically about the process of reinstalling.

How to step by step to reinstall Windows 7 on a laptop? So, if you are a happy owner of a licensed "seven", then you need to just insert the disk in CD-DVD drive And run the installation program from it. When in the process it will be necessary license key, we find it on the box from CD or DVD with the operating system and enter it. And here we have a licensed version of the OS.

Friends, many letters comes with a question how to reinstall or update operating system Windows 7 and what is the difference actually, between these two concepts.

Letter number 1. Please make clarity into troubled for many. reinstalling Windows 7. Differs from the update and what is better to prefer? I installed on me operating system 7 behaves extremely unstable, long loaded, many programs have ceased to be installed, sometimes there are errors of such a content, for example, there are not enough system file or dynamic library. Rollback using the recovery point at a considerable period of time ago did not help. I do not want to reinstall, as many programs have been installed. You in your comments said that you need to restore system files, put order in autoload, spend windows optimization 7 Or in the extreme case, to update or reinstall Windows 7, I unfortunately heard anything else.

I would like to know, firstly:
How to actually draw this update or reinstalling the operating system and what will happen to my personal files on the system section, will they miss?
Secondly: It is said that the update is started only from the operating system. Is it so? After all, in XP, it was possible to run an update even when the system was not at all loaded. For earlier thank you, Paul.

Reinstalling Windows 7.

So that everything is clear to you, I will spend the process of updating your operating system for you, and then show how to reinstall Windows 7 in two ways and you will see everything with your own eyes, but at first I will explain to you what update and Reinstalling Windows 7..

What is Windows 7 update?

this is the installation of the system on top of the old, that is, you insert a disk with the Windows 7 distribution and directly run the system setting, but you select not in the installation menu full installation, and update. What does she give?
First of all, there will be a replacement for damaged system files, the system operational files will not be replaced, with your own personal data: installed applications, documents, music, nothing will happen, all your programs will be launched and all your economy on all disks will be untouched. Also, user accounts will be transferred unchanged, do it all will be a tool-protection windows data (Very important files, still better transfer manually). I also want to say that you will have to re-enter the product key, choose the language, region, set the time and so on. A warning. If you have unlicensed windows 7, then after the update you will have a window in the lower right corner of the desktop with a warning that your copy of Windows. Not genuine.

  • Are you still asked about how the data transfer means works? When updating Windows 7, temporary folders of your data will be created, containing information about accounts and user parameters, yours email, Files in the Favorites folder, Personal files and user folders - Music, Images, video, as well as parameters installed programs. How your system will be updated, all the data will fall into place, and temporary folders will be deleted. When updating, the data transfer means does not allow you to select the user files for transfer, but when reinstalling you can choose what you want to transfer (details on).

Will the update decides all your problems associated with windows work 7? In most cases, yes, unfortunately, 100%, no one can guarantee the result. In my opinion, if it is possible, it is better to delete and re-format a section with a poorly running operating system, previously carried out all the important files to other volumes of the hard drive or portable uSB carrier and install the system with all programs again.

  • Note: In Windows XP, there is the same update mechanism and you can run both in the operating system and in cases where you cannot log in to Windows XP, then you can boot from the HP mounting disk and select installation menu option. Know that in Windows 7 such an opportunity, unfortunately, there is no update and the update can be carried out only in the operating system.

What is Windows 7 reinstalling?

Reinstall, that's full replacement All operating system files, i.e., formatting a partition with an unstable running system and installing Windows 7 anew. Naturally, all your files and the system itself from the disk (C :) will be deleted. In order to transfer all your files with system Disc (C :), you will need to use Windows data transfer toolBut it will not work automatically work, as in the case of an update, and we use it yourself and what we need to be transferred from the old system to a new one, too, choose themselves.

  • Now the question is already due: how is the reinstallation of the system from the installation is reinstalled? Friends are simple here. If you reinstall Windows 7, you can use the file transfer tool if you wish, since the system has already been once installed, but with a simple installation of the system again, you set the system to the new hard disk section of the new hard disk. In short, here is how it is more clear to explain I do not know!

Yes what to say, let's update my Windows 7 together together, and at the end of the article we will reinstall the system using the file transfer tool, it is also in me lately Works with errors and you will see with your own eyes, and then choose what you need.

Reinstalling Windows 7.

Now let's learn what to reinstall Windows 7. According to the rules to re-install Windows 7, we will be on the same disk on which the old operating system is installed. If earlier Windows was set for example on the section (C :), then it is necessary to reinstall it, too, to the section (C :) and on no other section (and this will already install the second operating system). All your files on the section (C :) will be replaced by files just installed operating windows systems 7.

  • First of all, we will launch a data transfer tool that will copy all our personal data from section Windows 7 on a portable medium or other partition of a hard disk, then load from the installation windows disk 7 (how to set c) and install the system again. Immediately after installing Windows 7, you will start the data transfer tool and copy all our files, as a result we will get a new operating system with you and all of our data: music, documents, personal folders and so on.
  • Note: You can ask: And you can not start installing a new system directly from Windows 7 and not climb into the BIOS. Answer: This method is given at the end and we will also consider it.

Let's now see what will be transferred to the data transfer tool from our files, run it.

Start writing in the input field tool for data transfer

In this window we see detailed information What kind of files, we can transfer to you from the old operating system to a new one, we will now choose.

The data transfer means invites us to use:

  • Data transfer cable - a cable specially designed for these purposes, which still needs to be bought, is used to transfer files between two computers, we don't need it in principle, because we have one computer.
  • Network - transfer files over the network, also not our option.
  • External disk or USB device flash memory. What we need. If you have a little data, you can even use a 8GB flash drive or 16 GB. By the way, if you have no flash drive, nor portable uSB diskYou can use another section of your hard drive for storage, like me.

So you have chosen an external disk or a USB flash memory device, and I'm partition on a hard disk (D :).

Choose this is mine source computerThat is, the data must be transferred from it.

Analysis of data that can be transferred to new system, in point Name users And the general elements click the setting, as well as if you click additionally, the full picture will open that the data transfer tool will be included in the archive.

Note, the archive includes folders of both users of the operating system and personal data, it is correct. But here are the data on all sections of the hard disk, except for the systemic (C :), it is not necessary to transfer to us, since we will reinstall Windows 7 on (s :) and the process of reinstallation in our case will only affect system section (FROM:). Remove the ticks from all the hard drives.

However, if you decide to transfer data from all partitions, you can not clean the checkboxes, just keep in mind that the data transfer file in this case will occupy a very large volume ..
What else does not need to be included in the archive that will create a data transfer tool? For example, you may not include the folder C: \\ Program Files, it will be more reliable after reinstalling Windows 7 Install all programs again.
So click to save, you can assign a password

The process of transferring files occurs. On the disk (D :) Create a transfer file with extension (MIG)

Now it is a queue to reinstall Windows 7, insert the installation disk with a seven to the drive and reboot, at the beginning of the installation it is better to click on the Disk Setup button and select the format part with the previous Windows 7, and in general the entire process is stepdown, ranging from priority change boot device In the BIOS and before installing the operating system itself, is described in our article.
I think you coped and installed the system, now let's use our data transfer tool again.

Choose this is mine new computer (You need to transfer files and parameters to this computer)

Your external hard disk with data transfer file has already been connected.
In my turn, I specify the Winchester section (D :), I have a transfer file there.

We can click Configure and select files to transfer to a new system manually, as we have already done or simply press to transfer.

Any Windows 7 or XP operating system installed on a computer or laptop eventually starts to work slowly or hang. You can solve this problem by trying to remove all sorts of garbage. To do this, you can run programs for cleaning, such as CCleaner and antivirus. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. If you have a second case, you can't do anything from the PC. Need reinstalling Windows 7 or another operating system, such as XP on a laptop or PC. In general, any OS is reinstalled according to the same principle. And the newer its version, the easier it is to remove the old system and install a new one.

This instruction will tell about the clean installation of Windows 7 or XP via BIOS. This can be done by itself using one of two ways: when uSB help Drive or disk system (image can be downloaded via the Internet). Use flash drive is much easier. In addition, when reinstalling on a laptop there may be no drive for a disk. Therefore, the installation from removable media may be the only way. How to do it yourself installation flash drive Read here for Windows 7 or XP. Whatever the method you choose: from a USB drive or disk - the next instruction can help you. So, let's look at how to reinstall Windows 7 or XP on a laptop correctly.

How to reinstall Windows 7

To begin with, it is worth mentioning that when reinstalling the operating system on a laptop or PC, all programs and data that are in the memory disk memory (usually this is a local disk C) will have to be deleted. Therefore, all the files, as well as the data of the applications, if possible, must be transferred to the memory of the other local disk PC, for example D or save on external carrier or at cloud service On the Internet. Transfer all files and folders to a safe place through the conductor.

In addition, now it's time to think about PC drivers. If you do not have a corresponding disk, you can find them and download via the Internet from the official site of the manufacturer. That will correctly not use unreliable utilities and drivers found via the Internet, as they may contain viruses.

You will need drivers for a video card, sound module, network card (They are responsible for connecting to the Internet by LAN cable), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. First of all, it is primarily able to bother about drivers to work online via the Internet on a laptop. If you have only one computer, it will be appropriate. Since without them you will not have access to the Internet and will not work download everything else. To simplify the case with drivers, you can download the program for them. automatic installation. Quite suitable DriverPack Solutionwhich works offline:

Please note that the image of the Windows 7 or XP operating system should be the same version that installed on your PC or laptop. For example, you have Windows 7 Home Edition or Maximum. So install the same version correctly. Otherwise, your license key specified on the computer case is not suitable. To find out exactly what version of the system you have installed by clicking on the folder " My computerยป right-click mouse and choosing " Properties" Here you can see you have installed. What they differ in the Internet.

Right start the installation

Now, through the PC BIOS you need to boot from the flash drive or disk. BIOS is the starting point - the program shifted in your motherboard. Usually the computer starts with hard diskwhere the system is installed. But now you need to change the priority of download and run the computer via the BIOS from the flash drive. For this, when you turn on the computer, depending on the manufacturer's company, correctly press the key or key combination. In most cases, this is the DELETE button. What to press on a particular model can be seen below in the picture. BIOS opens on a laptop or PC - Device Selection Menu:

After that, the computer through the BIOS will boot from the flash drive or the installation disk. Next, following the prompts, proceed to the start of installing the operating system on the laptop. BIOS We no longer need. Choose the language of the system and installation:

After acceptance license Agreement, the window will pop up with the hard disk sections you have. If a old system You have in the memory of the "C: /" hard disk partition, then you need to click on it with the right mouse button and format (delete all data). If you do this for the first time, you can do fast formatting Disc (surface cleaning). However, for complete removal You need to use data thorough formatting (it takes a little more time). The speed of operation depends also on the power of the device.

After that, select the formatted section and press the Next button (the same sequence of actions is performed for any other version, including XP).

Reinstalling Windows 7 will begin.

It remains only to wait when the computer will finish the work of the operation. If the installation is interrupted due to the fact that the PC will restart and starts off again from the flash drive, then this problem needs to be solved with help BIOS..

IN BIOS Computer You need to make the initial priority of the download to start from the hard disk again. After that, the installation will continue.

When installing Windows 7 or any other version of the system (XP), downloaded from the Internet, you will be asked the product key. It can be found on a PC or laptop housing. Here is what the sticker looks like:

What can be done if you do not have such stickers? In this case, enter the code that purchased via the Internet on the official website of Microsoft.

We hope that the instructions "for teapots" helped you and now you will know how to reinstall Windows 7 or XP. In this article we wanted to shed light on such unfamiliar for beginners of the terms as BIOS, boot flash drive etc. So, as you can see, if you follow the order set out here, it is possible to reinstall the system quickly and is not difficult.

Video on the topic

Learn how to reinstall Windows by saving all the files and settings important for you even after the complete collapse of the system!

Sadly, but the fact: Windows can stop working in any, even the most inappropriate, moment ... So, for example, I happened literally the day before yesterday. The computer just hung and I had to turn it off with the button. After re-enabling the system no longer loaded, hanging on the first start screen.

All my attempts to boot in safe mode Or roll back the recovery point was in vain. It remains only one thing - to state the complete collapse of the operating system, which has already served me for more than three years.

Reinstall Windows is not a problem at all. Moreover, I have long been lying with my "eight". The main trouble was that on the system disk with there were many, I needed to work for the program and project files. But how do I save them if the system is not loading?

When do you need to reinstall the system?

More than once I had to deal with users and various computer "specialists", which at the slightest system failure immediately say that it must be reinstalled. If you do not have any valuable data on C drive, then, in principle, you can reinstall, however, usually better and faster.

Most often there are two cases when you can avoid reinstalling the system. Both of them are associated with errors in the work of the hard disk.

The most obvious error is manifested by the fact that the computer at the very beginning of the launch gives the message "NTLDR IS Missing" on a black background:

The problem is to violate the bootloader and / or the main boot record on the hard disk (MBR - Sokr. From the English. "Main Boot Record"). To solve it, the easiest way to run a PC from the boot disk to windows database PE (for example, Alkid LiveCD), open the command line and take two commands in turn:

  1. bootrec.exe / fixmbr.
  2. bootRec.exe / FixBoot

They must restore the boot sector of the hard disk and your system can be downloaded again. The exception is only new Windows 10, since it uses not MBR, but a GPT table.

The second version of the hard disk operation failure or file System Not so obvious. He can manifest:

  • as " blue Screen of death";
  • in the form of "infinite" boot windows;
  • in the form of a computer failure to boot with a spoiled file on the black screen.

Such a mistake can be tried to fix everything through the same Command line boot disk command:

cHKDSK C: (or other drive letter) / F / R (recovery keys)

You will learn quite a bit of time on the implementation of the above teams, but the result of their execution can return to the "life" "dropped" system without reinstallation. However, if they did not help, then, most likely, reinstall Windows will still have ...

How to boot from the disk

In the previous section, we have already talked about the fact that it would be very desirable for recovering and reinstalling Windows boot disk. More information about how to create such a disc you can read in a separate article, and here I would like to talk about how to download the computer with their help and what can be done.

To boot from the boot disk or flash drive, we first need to set the priority of the computer loading using a BIOS or a special boot menu. You can access these components, while retaining the computer one of the following keys (depends on the model and type of motherboard):

  • Delete or Del;
  • Escape or ESC;

If you open the BIOS (usually a blue screen with white text), then you will need to go to the "Boot" section (on some motherboards "Advanced Settings") and on the "Boot Device Priority" list "1st boot device" (or "first boot device") is not a hard disk, as it can stand by default, and a CD-ROM or your flash drive (on some motherboards To identify the system, you need to connect it to a computer before downloading):

After installing the boot path, press the F10 button and confirm the saving of new parameters. The computer will restart and start booting from the device you specified.

If the boot menu opens instead of the bios, then it is even easier. Select the boot resource by the arms of the cursor and confirm your choice by pressing ENTER:

And now, with regard to opportunities different types boot disks:

Type of boot disk Capabilities
Standard installation disk Windows
  • system Restore Restore Console (files with files without a graphical interface);
  • standard disk commands (Chkdsk and DiskPart).
Windows PE LiveCD.
  • full control of files in graphical mode;
  • full Command Line;
  • launch almost any portable programs;
  • treatment of viruses;
  • access to Windows Recovery Points.
Linux Livecd.
  • file management in graphic mode;
  • restore files and control over sections in the presence of appropriate utilities;
  • treatment of viruses in the presence of antivirus software (for example, Dr.Web LiveCD).
Specialized Livecd. Perform any highly specialized tasks (data recovery, disk breakdown, antivirus check, etc.)

As you can see, the most wide range of possibilities, we represent the boot disks based on Windows PE ("Preinstallation Environment" - from the English. "Preset Wednesday") and it is this type of disk that I recommend to have anyone who wants to get a universal tool for backup data and repair Systems. From the best I would call the assembly:

  • Alkid LiveCD;
  • Bart PE;
  • Windows PE se7enlive.

The first two builds work on the Windows XP database, and the second on the "seven", but you can use them on any PC, because they themselves do not make any changes on the hard disk and run from RAM. Choose any of these LiveCD and on the road ...

What data to save?

So, we have in arsenal disabled Windows and, for example, Alkid LiveCD. All teams rapid recovery We have already tried the performance of the system, and our "Windows" never earned ... What to do?

If nic physical damage PC no (Hard disk did not break, did not burn rAM etc.), then it is definitely to reinstall Windows. However, it is advisable to keep the maximum possible number of data we need, which remained on the system disk (usually the C :) disk.

Open the disk with your windows folder And examine its contents. If you have Windows XP or more early versionThe contents of the system disk will look something like this:

Two key folders here: Program Files, in which all your programs are installed, and Documents and Settings, in which all documents are stored. These two folders can "weigh" dozens and hundreds of gigabytes, so it makes no sense to completely copy them. You should act selectively.

For example, from the Program Files folder it is advisable to save only the configuration files of the programs we need, which may have extensions.ini, .xml or.dat. It makes sense to do only for those programs that you configured personally and, which are constantly using, and not for everyone in a row! For example, for various notebooks (like NotePad ++), a music player (type AIMP) or file managers.

If in the Program Files folder you did not find the desired configuration files, they will most likely be stored in the Documents and Settings folder. We open it and look for either a folder named your account, or with the name "admin":

Inside there will be several folders in which the necessary files may be:

  1. The desktop (actually stores all files and folders on the desktop).
  2. Documents, My Documents or Documents (My Documents folder content on the desktop).
  3. Application Data (stores parameters and temporary files of most programs; default is hidden).
  4. Local settings hidden folder with settings).

In Windows, starting with Vista, the root directory of the C disk looks a bit differently:

If you have a 64-bit system, then here you will find two Program Files folders at once (64-bit programs will be stored in the folder without additional characters, and in the final folder "(x86)" - 32-bit), folder "PROGRAMDATA" where some additional modules of some programs are stored, as well as the "Users" or "Users" folder - analogue of the Documents and Settings folder.

In the Program Files and ProgramData folders, I think you will not confuse, but in the Users folder, you will need to find a directory with the name of your account that will contain a number of subfolders:

First, here, as in Windows XP, the desktop and documents are stored. Secondly, library folders, such as "downloads", "Music", "Video", "saved games", etc. Third, an analogue of the Local Settings folder and Application Data called AppData with three subfolders: Local, Locallow and Roaming, which also store the settings of a number of programs.

Reinstalling the Windows 7 operating system every 6-12 months can lead to the fact that your computer will work faster, in comparison with its operation, if you do not make it reinstallation. For those users who are poorly understood in computers and are not experts in modern technologiesReinstalling Windows 7 may seem a terrifying task. Fortunately, the process installation windows So highly automated that if it is compared with old versions, the probability of making a mistake in the process independent installation Very low.

When you download a new Windows session after completing the recovery, you will see a message confirming the completion of the recovery process with success.

Note that the recovery process passes without restoring remote files.

Note that not all windows version 7 have this characteristic. You can try to call the interpreter of commands from the recovery console to solve system problems that cannot be solved by conventional methods. In this case, you must restore the initial load register that english language called MBR ( Master Boot Record).

After you hit the recovery console by pressing the F8 button during the system boot process, press ENTER. In the window that appears, click on the "System Symbols" item, which will be emphasized with a blue feature. Then write the following commands in the console:

These commands should be sufficient to solve any problem that appears in the initial MBR load register.

Performing a complete reinstall of Windows 7

Despite the fact that the recovery process is quite reliable and there is a low probability that it will arise critical error When installing the system, make a copy of important files - is always a good idea when large changes in your system are performed, and especially its reinstallation. Important data Copy to external hDD, uSB drive or optical DVD disk.

Collect all the data you need. Key windows products 7 is particularly important. You can find it on the package with the installation CD disc or on the case of your computer.
